Strengths: Crisp, Clear, Fast, just plain ownage
Weaknesses: If only the frame were black instead of silver
Summary: I'm a gamer, and a Graphic Designer, I play the fastest FPS out there: Unreal Tournament (don't even think about saying quake is faster, I've played both for 10 years and quake is slow), and this monitor performs great in it. With its crystal clear image and 5ms GtG refresh rate I saw no ghosting at all. I'm very picky about the monitors I will play on and this one tops my experience with the Dell 24" the blacks and pale colors on dark games such as quake and doom are much more defined and pronounced on this monitor than the dell ones.

For graphic Design with a few manual color adjustments this is easily the best monitor I've ever used, LOTS of realestate and the colors are beautiful, no light bleed, and the brightness uniformity couldn't be better.

Conclusion: If your on the market for a widescreen, grab this one over the dell, it is superior.

Strengths: - Plenty of space to layout two windows next to each other for working on projects. - Good color reproduction. - Zero dead pixels. - Lightweight
Weaknesses: Not a "quick" as a CRT (will LCD's ever be?) - A little pricey, but still on par with a 24" - It could use a higher resolution than what you get with most 24" LCD's (i.e.better than 1920 X 1200).
Summary: I use my computer primarily for two things, gaming and writing technical reports. I replaced a 24" widescreen CRT with this monitor because it was going into sleep mode by itself and would not wake up. I knew that, even with a 5ms response time, the LCD would not be as "nice" for gaming as the CRT was, and I was correct. While I can't say there's "ghosting" (at least not as I'd define it, streaks of images left behind) the LCD is certainly not as crystal clear on quick images as I wish it were. I have used higher ms response time LCD's before and this one is the best I've used to date. It's great for productivity, and OK, as any LCD is (at this point in their evolution), for gaming. I would recommend this monitor, especially for the productivity user.

1 Star Review21 dead pixels on arrival, What a Pain!!!
Strengths: Cheap. Although you get what you pay for.
Weaknesses: Title says it all. Completely unacceptable to purchase online and have 21 dead pixels.
Summary: With such a large monitor requiring such care to ship and move, it was such a bitter disappointment to discover 21 dead pixels on arrival. Even more annoying, two of the dead pixels aren't even black, they flash annoyingly. It makes me belatedly realize how a 26 inch LCD can be so cheap ... because it's the product of a shoddy manufacturer. That's just completely poor workmanship that shows they don't inspect their products with care before shipping them out, and if I had to do it over I would have paid the extra hundred bucks for a 24" Dell LCD where I feel more comfortable with the risk of buying a monitor online and getting a working product the first time around.

I haven't yet called to RMA (seeing as to how I will lose the use of my computer for however long it's gone) but will soon and will update this review and rating afterward accordingly.

Strengths: According to the ACER website, this is a 25.5” diagonal screen, not 26"
Weaknesses: According to the ACER website, this is a 25.5” diagonal screen, not 26"
Summary: According to the ACER website, this is a 25.5” diagonal screen, not 26". So, be aware that you are not getting exactly what's advertised :)

Strengths: Very low Cost: Cheaper than most 24" LCDs Excellent picture quality. DVDs look great, and so does WOW. Zero dead pixels
Weaknesses: There are no TV inputs. I can't get the 1920 x 1200 resolution, however the 1600x1000 setting looks great.
Summary: I was really amazed with this monitor, setup was easy.

A 26" monitor is much better than the two 19" dells I have at work.

I use a Diamond 1650 Pro video card, and gaming is very smooth. When I play WOW, I max all the resolution settings and it plays perfectly and looks great.

Strengths: Clear Crispy Price
Weaknesses: only 25.5", the frame is thick
Summary: The quality of the LCD is good, good color reproduction, good contrast and very good viewing angle.

The LCD use a A-MVA panel which provide the above PROs. The price is alos good compare most 26" LCD, licke Samsung, NEC, ViewSonic. Most of those brand will charge the same price but give you a inferior TN panel LCD.

There are three thing I don't like: 1. It's not advertised 16" LCD, it's only 25.5". 2. The frame is sliver and looks too thick 3. the base is not adjustable.

Strengths: Crispy, clear, no dead pixel.
Weaknesses: frame is a little thick, the base is poor
Summary: This is a fairly good LCD monitor for the price. I got it from CC at $480 after MIR.

The performance to price ratio is high, the LCD use MVA panel which provide better color reproduction and viewing angle compared to those TN panel. Other brand LCDs with the same specifications and similar performance are selled at more than $600. which some newer 24" LCD.

The silver frame looks a little thick and the base is poorly designed

Strengths: Price is relatively low compare to other 26", 27" LCD
Weaknesses: The base is not adjustable
Summary: Personally I like this LCD monitor. The price is relatively low compare to most 26" or 27" LCD. It use MVA panel while a lot of 27" LCD manufacuters use TN panel -- which is not as googd as MVA panel.

The color, bright and constrast is good, but you need todo some calibration. I don't have any DVI issue under native resolution as sme mentioned in Newegg.

The monitor's base is poorly designed, you can't adjust the height, all you can do is tile forward or backward, --- maybe that's the one reason why this monitor is checp compare to other 27" monitor.

Strengths: Size, Clarity, Image, Cost
Weaknesses: Color. Would be better in black for editing video.
Summary: I love these monitors. I bought them for work and I'm buying the same ones for home. I use them in a dual monitor application. They are completely adaptable to just about any need. I usually stick to the old, proven brands, but more and more I am impressed with Acer.
