Strengths: Supports up to 2GB microSD cards; Built-in MP3 player, camera, and camcorder; Bluetooth connectivity; Easy to connect to a PC via Bluetooth or supplied USB cable
Weaknesses: There is no ringer on the outside of the phone. The ringtones are played through the earpiece of the phone. Therefore, when the phone is closed, the ringer isn't very loud.
Summary: I needed a new phone after losing my last one and walked into the Sprint store with my heart set on a MotoRAZR. I liked the sleek package of the MotoRAZR, but I've been fairly loyal to Samsung phones for a while and it would have been hard to buy something other than Samsung. The woman there talked me out of the Moto and into the Samsung m500. It was $10 cheaper than the RAZR and she said it's a much better phone. She did not lie or disappoint. This is, by far, the most phenomenal phone I've ever had - it does it all.
If you get this phone at a Sprint store, do NOT let them talk you into buying their accessories. They are outrageously overpriced there. They wanted to sell me a 1GB microSD card for $50. After searching for a mere two minutes on PriceGrabber.com, I found a 2GB card for $29.50 with free shipping. Look before you buy!
