Strengths: Affordable, suitably bright image for most viewing situations
Weaknesses: Could be brighter still. Replacement bulbs relatively affordable
Summary: I upgraded to this from a 480p InFocus unit, and the results were gratifying, especially with Xbox 360 and DVDs. Paid around $500 after various rebates. Although prices will no doubt continue to fall on projectors, at the time $500+ was a positively screamin' deal for a unit with this resolution. The replacement bulbs weigh in around $200, definitely a big notch cheaper than the bulbs on many competing units. I see less rainbow effect on this compared to my InFocus (although it's not gone completely), I guess the benefit of a newer color wheel technology. Certainly recommended at this price.
