Strengths: Quick startup, duo intel processors, styling black color, wide-screen monitor, runs both mac os and windows
Weaknesses: Pricier due to apple brand, no dongle for connecting to projector
Summary: Laptop starts up fast in both mac os and windows. Easy to install windows through boot camp software although downloading and formating computer can take a while. In addition, the mac os runs on a unix system which is nice for running some programs and for programming. Screen is a wide layout that is very bright. However, you pay for the apple brand and the black color. In addition, unlike the macbook pro, the graphics card may not have enough memory to play some games on full graphics settings. And it does not include a dongle for connecting to a projector, which is an additional $20.

Strengths: security, light weight, visually appealing
Weaknesses: If you are changing over from a PC, you will need to take time to adjust to the Mac
Summary: Excellent product! One that I have already recommended to friends. Be sure to get the extended warranty, it may come in handy and if you are a student you can purchase it directly from Mac with a discount.

Strengths: Operating System Mac OS X, Durable, Quick Start Up.
Weaknesses: Keyboard.
Summary: So I finally decided to make the switch to a Apple Computer. I had not used them really since middle school. Tired of dealing with the headaches of Windows I decided to give it a try.

This notebook is solid. It feels a bit heavy but the performance of the operating systems and the reliability is what has me sold on Macs. The keyboard has the keys set apart further than typical keyboards and can take a little bit to get used to but I now enjoy typing on the Macbook. I'm really glad I chose the black version as it seems to be made of a more durable almost rubbery materials that does not show wear and grime that can accumulate as easily as the white notebooks.

The performance is great. I since have upgraded the ram myself to 2gb which I would highly recommend. It's not a very expensive thing to do yourself and you can easily find the ram from a reputable on-line vendor. The start-up time on the machine seems like its less than 30 seconds from the time you push the power button until you are ready to go.

Apple's attention to detail in the magnetic power cord which has a charging indicator light to tell you the status and the nice compact power adapter are a joy after using bulky power adapter on Windows machines.

The Core 2 Duo processor handles most tasks with ease. The notebook is quiet and only really warms up and the fan winds up under heavy photo editing or media intensive websites.

I've really enjoyed the notebook and would highly recommend it. I think it's the perfect size for most people. With the new operating system Leopard you are able to install Windows on your machine as some people still have software that requires Windows. This flexibility makes Apple in my mind the computer to have. The more your own it the more you realize what you were missing. Things are just simpler and better.

Strengths: Design, Specs, Mac OS, Speed
Weaknesses: Integrated video card, No card reader, Runs hot.
Summary: This has got to be the best looking notebook on the market. Simple yet elegant and practical design. The amazing thing is that this notebook performs as good as it looks. This notebook is blazing fast. The boot time for Mac OS is amazing but one rarely needs to reboot though. Most of the essential programs come bundled with the OS and they are amazing while being useful.Fact that some of the best open source softwares such as Adium, Skim, Papers are available for Mac only is a added bonus. Installing boot camp and Windows is a breeze. Most of the users in general believe that Macs are expensive but not many realize that Macs provide better value for money (particularly with Windows installation). A similarly spec'ed system from Hp or Dell would cost just about the same if not more. Not only it looks hot it runs very hot too. All in all one of the best value for money.

Strengths: Lightweight compact attractive
Weaknesses: The Macbook gets hot when its charging and I wish the power cord matched the Black case of the notebook. It could use a cover as well.
Summary: I purchased this when my Compaq died, I was sold on Macs when I replaced my Desktop with an IMac I have had no problems with either one. Love the Mac OSX much better than any Windows machine I have. I can't see myself reverting back to any windows PC anytime in the near future. I have yet to get a virus or have the Mac OS x crash. Apple is definitely building quality products and the premium price is worth every penny
