Strengths: Just point and shoot.
Weaknesses: Would like zoom.
Summary: I purchased this camera for my 2 young boys to use. I have a Canon A80 (which has spoiled me) that I didn't want them to break so I purchased this camera for a cheaper camera. They have been taking pictures with it and they turn out good. I got an additional 128MB SD card and use rechargeable batteries which help a lot. Would recommend for just point and shoot with nothing fancy.

Strengths: easy to use
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I just got my camera and I really enjoy it alot. Kodak is one of the best when it comes to cameras. I thought it would be hard to use but it's not. I would highly recommend this camera.

Strengths: Easy to use. Clear instructions.
Weaknesses: No optical zoom. Shots not as clear as a higher mega pixel camera would be.
Summary: This is the first digital camera for our family. I bought it for my 13 year old daughter, so she can have fun learning to take pictures without the film development expense. She loves it. The instructions are clear for her and she enjoys discovering all the camera can do. Then when my wife and I are comfortable using this digital camera, we can buy a higher end camera for ourselves. A great beginner camera at a very reasonable price.

Strengths: Simple menu system. Great battery life.
Weaknesses: I don't think there is a mic (or haven't figured it out yet), which makes my movies decidedly lacking. No optical zoom.
Summary: This is my first digital camera, and overall I would say it's a great deal. First of all, it's easy to use -- even my technophobe parents were snapping pictures within minutes out of the box. Secondly, it's cheap as far as digital cameras go, yet it still has plenty of options and quality. Unless you are a photographer (i.e. artist), I don't see why you need more than 3 MPixels. This also has an SD slot, which not all budget cameras do. I think it's important because SD cards seem cheaper and more versatile than other similar storage cards.

Strengths: easy to take pictures, easy to retrieve/transfer photos
Weaknesses: close up detail not to clear, sensitive picture button, eats through the batteries if you use view screen for picture taking.
Summary: this is a great first digital camera for a beginner or child above the age of 8. The CX7300 offers ease of use a good quality photo's for general picture taking. Very easy to retrieve pictures via memory card or to download directly to your computer. Comes with easyshare cd to edit pictures. Overall this is a good camera for the price. It is not however your best choice if you will need close up pictures showing detail (ie. small items 6 inches away). Overall I would recommend this camera.
