Strengths: Picture quality and price. Pleasing design and very thin.
Weaknesses: I hate to say it but it is the remote.
Summary: The picture looked great right out of the box. Very easy set up. I plugged in a S video cable from my dish network box to the monitor and away I went. I dont have High def and I am very pleased with the picture.

The picture is extremely good. Off angle viewing is good as well. I did a lot of homework before I purchased this and for the money I dont know how you could find a better monitor. I do notice a little blurring of words that scroll along the bottom when I watch CNN. I dont know if that is the fault of the tv or the signal coming in. I never noticed that on my old CRT set though. It is not enough to make me give up my new purchase by any means.

Weaknesses - definitely the remote, more specifically the infared receiver on the tv is picky. If you are not pointing the remote directly at it you wont be able to change the volume or turn it on/off. I then programmed my dish network remote for the same functions and these same issues arise. Westinghouse definitely needs to address this problem. I can get around this by using a surround sound system for volume control and avoid using the infrared receiver on the tv with the exception of turning it off and on. Overall I dont think anyone would be disappointed with buying this monitor.

1 Star ReviewTV
Strengths: nice picture but sometimes difficult to change formats
Weaknesses: apparently poor quality
Summary: I bought one of these in Sept 2006 and thought it went bad once but came back, then a couple of days ago the picture simply went dead and have voice only - naturally after the one year warranty runs out - have a repairman coming tomorrow and he said it probably was the inverter that they have had the inverters go out on Westinghouse produce quite often, so I would recommend staying clear of westinghouse products - also I have sent them 2 email about this unit and have not got a reply

Strengths: Sharp, crispy picture Decent price User friendly panel
Weaknesses: Only one HDMI imput Soft speaker
Summary: The picture is great. I was totally blown away with the picture. I am sure it will be even better once I get the HD box. I am so glad it went on sale to a similar price. The free shipping was a definite PLUS! My tv arrived 2 days after it shipped out with no problems at all. It was a easy to hook up,I had a question and called westinghouse and got a real nice rep immedently who was very helpful. The tv has an amazing picture and the 46" tv is huge! But it could be even better if it is equipped with 1080P! :)

1 Star ReviewDO NOT BUY
Strengths: Display
Weaknesses: Electronics
Summary: Bought this TV 11/06. Started having problems getting it to come on. Thought it was a DISH problem. TV picture went out- after the warranty expired. For $ 1,900 it should have lasted 10 years. It has been in the shop 5-weeks while trying to get info from WESTINGHOUSE!

3 Star ReviewGood TV
Strengths: size; price; simple menus/remote/options
Weaknesses: only one HDMI; Standard definition input isn't that great.
Summary: I bought this TV because I got a pretty good deal on it from Office Depot. I really wanted something bigger than the standard 42" you find everywhere, and I dodn't really need the 1080p, since none of my imput sources are that high anyhow.

The high def programming is great, but standard definition is not so good. I know that HDTV's in general don't display SD very well, but I don't have anything to compare it to to see if this one is worse than others, or if they're all bad. Can't wait until 2009 when everything goes all digital!
