Strengths: Very lifelike. Terrific fun.
Weaknesses: Some of the graffix seem to be incompatible with my video card.
Summary: Bought this for my 72 year old father for XMAS. He can hardly put it down. The game is fun, challenging and very lifelike. I would highly recommend this game.

Strengths: Lots more courses, cheap, custom profile maker, great graphics
Weaknesses: Nobody wants to play the 2005 version online anymore. The greens are too tricked-out. Real-life video inserts, resolution is bad. Must insert the 3rd CD-Rom to play.
Summary: 2006-07-26 07:42:51 This game is cheap now for less than $10. Not a whole lot different from the 2006 version. It is good for golf enthusiasts who are not hardcore gamers. Love this. The graphics are excellent (best of all golf games). Give a real-life feel of being on the golf course. Very peaceful and fun. Much better than other violent games. Can avoid inserting the 3rd CD-Rom to play with a little work. Search the web to see how. Can't go wrong with this. Highly recommend TWpga2005.

Strengths: The graphics are very good; Make your own player profiles. Large array of courses and play options
Weaknesses: Reading the greens without caddy assist. Very difficult to see any green contour
Summary: 2006-01-10 19:35:27 I have been playing this game since Christmas day and it is a lot of fun. My favorite part is creating your own player profile. You can create your profile to look like anything from Quasimoto to Brad Pitt. You can also create the look of the swing to match anything from Tiger himself to your typical weekend hack. I tried to make my profile as close to me as possible. I was amazed at how close I could get. Ugly golfer with a swing just a bit too fast. In any event, you will enjoy creating your own golfer.

The game itself is typical EA sports good. Good graphics and very good images of real courses. As you work throught he game, your skill will improve and you earn money to buy a better swing characteristics. There are plenty of play modes which means (tournament, head to head, challenges, etc).

I prefer games like this that don't require me to invest hours upon hours to conguer worlds and find magic potions. If you're like me, and just like a few hours of challenge and fun, this could be a game for you.

Strengths: Create-a-player, great graphics and control
Weaknesses: Putting is difficult to measure accurately
Summary: This is the first Tiger Woods title I've played, and it's a good one. I took about ten minutes to create my alter ego via the player creation, and went from there. The controls are pretty easy to pick up, the graphics are wonderful, and the environment is pretty well designed.

My only complaint per my above comment is the putting, which can be very difficult to estimate. There's a pretty high learning curve to associate the putt strength and aiming with the layout of the green.

Strengths: Price. Many settings to use for personalized play. Very challenging
Weaknesses: Putting mode is hard
Summary: I purchased this PC Golf Game at Circuit City. Having played Microsoft Links for several years before this, I find the graphics of this game very good on the golfers themselves but less so on the course items. It contains three CD-ROM disks. There are not a lot of courses to choose from, but for the money this game is terrific. It is certainly challenging and a fun way to somewhat hit the links without leaving the comfort of your computer space. Recommended.
