Strengths: High resolution, fast response time 16ms, good picture quality, DVI input, light
Weaknesses: input connection inconvenient, little adjustable, picture a little bit white
Summary: i bought it at office depot, $270 after rebates. at this price, no complain at all. However, as a review, something must be pointed out:

it's my first time to own viewsonic product. Compared with my old 17" Samsung syncMaster 175v LCD, it's very clear that the picture of this 19" LCD is little bit white. I tried to adjust contrast and bright, couldn't fix it. I went to store to exchange it. same problem. based on this, I feel a little bit disappointed to viewsonic.

second, the design of video input connection is poor. there is a DVI input, but no cable. I have two DVI adaptors. but when I put the adaptor on the analog cable, then tried to connect the DVI input on the back of LCD, I couldn't. the whole head of the cable is too long to find a right position to connect the input vertically because the backplate cover is just over there. I have to buy extra DVI cable to use DVI input

last thing, few option to adjust the monitor's position.

All in one, it's a great LCD, although it's not professional. Based on the price and quality, no complain, just go and get it.

Strengths: Good picture, 16ms, fast refresh rate, beautiful design
Weaknesses: Video input
Summary: Bought this at CompUSA for $400 (after MIR). Great monitor, fast response time, very nice design, DVI input makes huge different. Highly recommend. VIEWSONIC is the best.

Strengths: Colorful Picture, Clear Text, High Resolution.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: Before buying this LCD, I think that SONY SDMHS73B is good one because the unique style. After comparing several LCDs at BestBuy, I found the performance of VX910 is really better than VX710. The price of SDMHS73B and VX710 or SDMHS93B and VX910 are almost the same. But I found a little problem on the screen of SONY's. So I would like to spend another hundred bucks to get bigger screen with ViewSonic. All the functions and features that you need are included in VX910.

The control panels is not as good as NEC. The raising position in not adjustable. The warranty of ViewSonic is only one year not three years.

All view of this LCD, I recommend!

Summary: I love this monitor. I went from a 17" CRT to this 19" LCD. The colors are vibrant. Digital photos look really sharp on it. Gaming (e.g. Unreal Tournament 2004 and Painkiller) look great and nearly as good as a CRT. Fast action scenes in DVD's look very sharp.

If you want 1600 x 1200 resolution, look at a 20" monitor and not this one. This maxxes out at 1280 x 1024 but if that's ok with you (and it is for me), then check this one out.

For connections, it supports both analog and DVI so you're set with either one.

Only drawbacks: monitor isn't that adjustable in terms of raising / lowering it. Warranty is only 1 year.

All in all, I love this monitor. I've made the switch from CRT to LCD and won't be going back!

Strengths: Small footprint, price, 16ms resp. time, DVI-D input available, solid 1280x1024@60Hz, very good cabling solution
Weaknesses: No speakers, no sideways rotation, poor operation in non-native modes
Summary:

The viewsoinc VX910 LCD operates very nicely in native 1280x1024@60Hz and 1280x1024@70Hz. Other modes did not fare as well, especially when I pushed to refresh rate to higher frequencies and used lower resolutions. The monitor did poorly in the non-native modes. This is to be expected in an LCD, however I felt it worse than I thought it should be.

The monitor has a very clean way of hiding its cable through some clips and removable panels in the stand. The stand itself is also very small. It makes for a very efficient and pleasing footprint on your desk. However the monitor can only be tilted vertically, not sideways. This is no big deal for me, the monitor is so compact that turning the monitor itself would be probably easier than using a more complex stand that would turn sideways.

At first the monitor output tired me a bit until I realized the default brightness was too high for my typical usage. After a quick adjusment my eyesight was very pleased.

There is a Sharp LL 191A-B monitor with very similar characteristics and price. The Sharp monitor has integrated speakers and also comes in white. However, the Sharp does not have a DVI-D input and it has a bit less of brightness. DVI input was a deciding factor in my case although I do miss the integrated speakers.

I use this in a dual boot system running Windows XP Home SP2 and SuSE Linux Pro 9.1. In SuSE I had to set the display to "LCD 1280x1024@60Hz" through manual intervention in YaST2, other than that it all went smoothly. In Windows XP I followed the instructions from Viewsonic. I did not test this monitor with a Mac. I did not try the wall mount feature of the monitor.

Tried the monitor watching a DVD film, normal day to day work and with a game. I was very happy in all cases, especially the 16ms response time during the game.

The manual only comes on the CD and printed documentation is useless. I found that rather poor judgement on Viewsonic's part as there are some things I'd like to get right before I turn on the monitor and graphic's card. They should give a printed copy of the small user's guide.

Bought this monitor through Pricegrabbber at Datavision with a mail in rebate. So far all went well except at UPS delivery delay of 1 day. I can't comment yet on Viewsonic's handling of mail-in rebates.

This is a quality 19" LCD monitor that meets its high performance specifications all while fetching a low price. I recommend it.

Strengths: Very good picture, fast refresh rate, DVI Input
Weaknesses: Video input connections
Summary: The video input connections on the back of the monitor are hard to reach because the cables attach vertically instead of horizontally. Also, a good dvi cable will have bump out near the cable and this bump out occurs right where these clips attach to hold the cables in place. Since you can't clip the dvi cable in place, you can't attach the backplate cover, so while this is a minor nuisance, it doesn't affect the performance of the monitor which is pretty good. One caveat though, I've had two of these monitors and they've both had one broken pixel. It only shows up in black backgrounds, but that's kinda annoying when you watch movies.

Strengths: very response time. great for gaming. sleek design. DVI inputs. slim besel
Weaknesses: no up and down or side rotational adjustment. no DVI cable included.
Summary: i was using a 19 inch sony crt monitor before buying this monitor. the crt just took up so much space and generated a lot of heat so i've decided to switch over to a lcd monitor. after doing a lot of research, i think that ViewSonic's VX910 is the best bang for the money. the pictures is clean and detailed. For gaming, the graphic actually looks better than my old crt. no ghosting. and for esthetic reasons, this monitor looks really sleek when accompany by black keyboard/mouse, speakers, and computer case. highly recommend to everyone.

Strengths: Bright... clear ... crisp text...
Weaknesses: pictures are slightly blurry at less than native resolution...
Summary: I use 1024x768.. so that I don't strain my eyes... The quality is outstanding... I researched for more than 6 months before buying this model... I am extremely pleased with the overall picture quality and ease of use... it truly is "plug and play"... It costs a bit more than most monitors in this class, but wait for the $100 rebate and it's just as good of a deal as the others... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Strengths: Well Priced, DVI, Nice design, very good text and picture.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: Bought at CompUSA $430 after MIR. I started want to get the 20" Viewsonic or 21" Samsung, but decided not worth double the price of this 19".

The setup was easy. It also come with the software to tweak the performance of the monitor in each situation. It's very bright so I need to adjust down to 60%. The quality of text and picture were very good.

This is absolutely worth the money and it's good for all purpose.

Strengths: Good all around home monitor
Weaknesses: Short display life
Summary: I purchased the monitor in May 2005. In august 2005 I began to experience display problems. At times scetions of the monitor would not display the complete image. It was as if the refresh was not complete. A tempory fix is to restart the PC.
