Strengths: Incredible at bass reproduction, great clarity (not too "boomy"), price.
Weaknesses: Still not the entire audible frequency range (20-27 hz).
Summary: I've had this for a little while now, and I am loving it. My old setup was a Logitech Z680 HTiB system, and that was great and all, but now that I've moved on to better speakers, and adding in this PS10 subwoofer, movies have been incredible to listen to. The bass is so much better than in my old setup. It's also very nice how it has all the stuff in back to give you more options of how you want to connect the sub, and listen to it. It has a variable 50-150hz crossover, although I let my receiver handle the crossover stuff, and a switch for LFE/Normal, etc. Also, I love the nice look to this, and matches my Primus series Infinity speakers well in visual design as well as in the sound.

Especially if you can get a good deal on this (I got it from digital1234.com for $199 through the PriceGrabber link) it's amazing for the price point. I would definitely recommend this sub, but if you're going to pay the MSRP for this ($350-ish), you might be able to get more for your buck on other subs. Overall, I'd say this would get 9 out of 10.

Strengths: Clear, Deep Bass
Weaknesses: Still not a 12", Maybe not the best value
Summary: I purchased this sub along with a new Infinity Center and Pioneer 1014 to upgrade my parents home theater system. Although I was impressed by the performance and sound of this sub, I think the center and receiver made a larger impact on the sound. I also must mention that the current floor speakers have 15" woofers on them, so I didn't expect much improvement with the sub (it will be more important when the current floor speakers are replaced.) However, the sub was able to deliver plently of low bass and enough power to rumble the floor in a number of movies. Overall a good quality sub, might also look at the 12" if you think you want a little more bass.

Strengths: Very clean bass and ability to play quite loudly and get quite low in a relatively small box.
Weaknesses: The grill was damaged , all the pegs were broken off in the box. Doesnt blend all that well with Magnepan MMG Ws.
Summary: I couldnt get the HSU clearance deal so I went for the Infinity sub on clearance at Compusa. Infinity is one of the few well known mass produced speaker firms that gets its products reviewed in some audiophile magazines. So I figured it should be a better sub than many of the mass produced non-audiophile subs which tend to sound boomy and are more geared for home theater than music.

The infinity was reviewed elsewhere as being equally at home with home theater and music duties and it does work well with music and movies.

About the only big problem I notice is that my Magnepan MMG Ws - planar speakers - dont blend all that well with them. Its a general problem that some say all planar speakers and cone subwoofer speakers have but there seems to be a bit of a gap in the upper lower bass between the Infinity and the Magnepans which are said to roll off at 100 mhz even when setting the crossover fairly high on the Infinity.

Infinity also agreed to send me a new grill free of charge immediately after I contacted them since Compusa no longer carries the subwoofer.
