Strengths: (1) Awesome game, even better than 1st God of War (2) Exciting pace, keeps your interest as you are moved from one memorable event to the next (3) Great graphics!
Weaknesses: (1) Violent content may turn off some
Summary: First off, if you have your PS2 (or PS3) hooked up through Progressive Scan enabling Component Cables, hold down the following combination of buttons before the game boots up to access a higher resolution mode: L1 + L2 + L3(Thumbstick button) + Square + Circle (simultaneously). You'll know if it works because the text that first pops up will be purple. Now, you will have a higher res image if you select Progressive Scan mode (better than normal Progressive Scan mode). It make a big difference and the game is much better looking although you have to deal with some "screen tearing". After a little while of playing you get used to it and don't even notice the tearing. The game is beautiful and the art direction is fantastic. The story is well integrated with the action and the fighting is much more interesting this time around. The puzzles are harder, too. A lot of them require you to think "outside of the box". Many solutions to the puzzles require you to think more about how you would "cheat" at the puzzle in real life, rather than what the nice clean solution would be in a regular video game. The choice of weapons are better in this game, however, you will still most likely rely on the Blades of Athena for 90% of the game - similarly to how the Blades dominated in the last game. Overall, this is an excellent, thrilling game.

Strengths: Beautiful graphics, epic story, great soundtrack, voice acting is superb.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: God of War 2 is the likely to go down in history as the last great PS2 game. If you haven't played the first GOW, do yourself a favor and beat that one before you attack the sequel.
.
It's safe to say that if you own a PS2, you need to own this game. It's the most fun you'll have in a single player game guaranteed. I don't know how they managed to squeeze every ounce of computing power out of the PS2 to make this game look so great, but somehow they did. As you play this game you feel as though you're in an amazing movie. The camera always moves around you to give you the most cinematic feel possible - and the soundtrack adds to that feeling as well.
.
The game begins with a giant boss battle, which for most games would be at the very end of the game. This is NOT like every other game.
.
GOW2 comes as a 2-disc set. One disc has the game, the second has bonus features like deleted levels and a making-of featurette that can be played on a regular DVD player adding to the already movie-like feel you get from the game.
.
If I had to rate this game out of 10, it'd be a 10. It truly is a great game that is contuing the life of the PS2 and helping PS3 owners actually get some use of their system.

Strengths: It's God of War.
Weaknesses: Still a lil on the short side.
Summary: The last great PS2 game is here and it is God of War two, the game puts Kratos back battling against the Gods to get the respect he deserves. The story is very engrossing and visually it looks very good with 480p support as well. This game really has no flaws. I wish every console could have a send off like this.

Strengths: Gameplay,Blood, violence, action, character is nearly naked(seriously that skirt is almost too sexy)
Weaknesses: Lack of boobs
Summary: In this epic sequel, we see Kratos as the new God of War, fighting the Colossus of Rhodes, engulfed in a Burocratic trade dipute with the "banana chiquita" transational.
This thriller action game takes you several epic scenarios such as the Sisters of fate temple, the Ruins of Cartago, the Central Market in Downtown Chepe and the Foridden swamps.
In this adventure you'll face minotaurs, skeletons, cyclops, teletubbies, yoshi's, and muppets.
The highlight of this game is when you finally defeat zeus and just before you gave him the final strike, athena gots in the way and you kill her. (don't read the above sentence if you haven't played the game yet.)

Strengths: Graphics, Gameplay, Story
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Kratos is back and better then ever in the sequal to one of the best action games on the PS2. The graphics and gameplay are amazing and you quickly forget you arent playing a "next gen" system. The amazing combos and the ease at which you can pull them off is a real plus for me. I havent gotten to far into the story yet but from what I have played this is a must own game for all ps2 owners. Do not miss picking this up.

Strengths: Nice graphics, fun
Weaknesses: more of the same
Summary: This game is pretty good. It is easier than the first game from what I remember, and it is more of the same. The graphics and music are great. It is extremely bloody and I think it tries too hard to be mature. Otherwise, it is a solid gaming experience.

Strengths: Epic gameplay, graphics, music
Weaknesses: Absolutely none.
Summary: God of War II is a worthy sequel to the successful God of War. It follows the epic story of Kratos as a mortal warrior to dethrone a god. The gameplay is awesome and engaging. It has the same control as the first GOW, having both regular battle system as well as context sensitive control.
The graphics is simply amazing. Rich environment and detailed texture. The soundtrack is great too as it really helps building up the atmosphere in the game.
The game comes with a DVD full of extras including making-of and various features.
God of Wars II is a worthy game in everyone's PS2 collection. Do yourself a favor and pick it up.

Strengths: Great game, awesome graphics, excellent gameplay, story.
Weaknesses: N/A
Summary: First off... if you haven't played the first God of War, you have no business playing this game. So before continuing, make sure you've played the original. That being said-
God of War II is yet another great game. It is just a continuation of the first game with only very minor changes. The gameplay and graphics are the same as the prvious installment. The storyline continues right where the first game left off. There are bigger and badder boss fights, new weapons, and cool new moves. If you haven't played the God of War series, you're doing yourself a great disservice. This series justifies the purchase of a PS2.

Strengths: epic story, cinematics, and enough blood and gore to satisfy those who don't care about the former two...
Weaknesses: like all good things, this game will come to an end... (or will it ? :)
Summary: I remember during my last year of graduate school I rented and beat a PS2 game (prince of persia 2) in 3 days time, just to prove to myself that although I'm no longer at my peak playing video games, I still had what it takes. PS2 is far from its peak too, but before it cedes the throne to PS3, it will show you with GOW II (a PS2 exclusive!) that it still got what it takes too.
GOW II is arguably the biggest (think vast environments, epic boss battles) and baddest (think blood, guts, and nudes) game to come to ps2 with fantastic, fun, smooth gameplay.
Now lest I raise your expectations too high, I will confess that playing this game feels more like an expansion pack to the fist rather than an original masterpiece. Some may see it as I fault, I'm happy just the way it is. You decide.

Strengths: fun, good story
Weaknesses: n/a
Summary: God of war 2 is a great game. It is a little longer than the original and improves on the gameplay a bit. It's more of the same and that's a good thing. Overall, a great game, but overhyped.

Strengths: Improved graphics, new moves, more boss battles, more challenging gameplay, more unlockables
Weaknesses: Sometimes frustrating, although nothing different from the first God of War
Summary: What can I say that you probably don't already know? It's the sequel to one of the best games ever made on the PS2, let alone on any system. It picks up right where it left off from the first one, and it just never disappoints from beginning to end. The graphics, the voice acting, the cinematics, the score, it's all just as amazing as the first. If you're a fan of the original, the new one will not disappoint and definitely deserves to be in your PS2 game library.

Strengths: Graphics, gameplay, hours of entertainment. Two Disc Set.
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: This is by far the best game I ever played on any console( Including Xbox 360). Kratos is back and meaner than ever. The enemies are plentiful, as well as puzzles. Awesome Boss battles and beautiful graphic and detail. The kills are incredible and bloody. If you still have a PS2 or a PS3 this is a game you must have and play. I can't wait till GOW 3 comes out on the PS3 in 2008.
