1 Star ReviewGarbage!!!
Strengths: Inexpensive
Weaknesses: Ptone to sudden failure.
Summary: I bought two Mflash 8 gb flash drives several months ago. I began using one of them, then one day out of the blue, the drive could not recognized by any computer system. I tried a data recovery professional. He also could not retrieve anything. I started using the second one about three months ago. That also failed today (11/26/2007). These drives are garbage!!! DO NOT BUY!!! I lost all of my important data!

Strengths: It's cheaper if you compare the money per GB. And it is very handy to carry lots of multimedia files in the pocket.
Weaknesses: The speed to read/write is kind of slow.
Summary: If you just want to carry a few video clips with you when you travel, it is the right product you can choose. With this 8GB capacity, you can listen tons of music and watch two movies (without compression). Plus, it is cheaper to other brand if you compare the dollar per GB. The data saved in the drive seems OK without corruption. However, the read/write speed is a little slow.

Strengths: Having 8GB on a compact USB device
Weaknesses: Does seem to be a little slow, but I
Summary: For the money it seems like a good deal. Performanace seems to be average to slow in copying files. The clear plastic cap seems to be easy to lose or misplace when you remove it from the device.

Strengths: Pricing portable
Weaknesses: People say adata is cheap quality
Summary: For me this works fine for taking my backup. Skeptical about the speed of drive and I'm unhappy of the writing speed. But it does my job as I can synchronize my data periodically and of course it take 2 dvd size data, sometimes I used to load with divx movies and works great with my philips USB DVD player well. I'm overall happy with this item.

Strengths: Cheap, compact -- much smaller than the image might suggest, fast.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I did not expect much from this drive, it was 40% of the next cheapest non-generic USB drive @ 8gb capacity. I have transferred over 1.7 TB of data in last 5 months and it has performed well without a hitch. No issues so far despite removing the drive unsafely a dozen or so times.

Strengths: Cheapest 8GB flash drive that I know of.
Weaknesses: Noticeable slower than other flash drives that I own. Not quite as compact as other flash drives.
Summary: If you are willing to sacrifice some read/write performance, then this flash drive works well and is cheap too. The plastic cap takes some getting used when tyring to remove it: It is quite tough to remove the cap. Once you get used to squeezing the right corners of the cap, the cap can be easily removed. Not a bad flash drive, just a little too bulky compared to the competition.

Strengths: Size (i.e. 8 GB), price, lifetime warranty
Weaknesses: Build, USB connector cap, Size (i.e. not compact)
Summary: All in all, happy with my purchase. You will be hardpressed to find an 8 GB flash drive for roughly $30 (at least not as/of February 2008). Since holding mission critical data on flash memory is not advisable anyway...I personally cannot justify paying up for a more expensive model and find this to be a great value for its purpose.

Compared to other builds, this feels a little more flimsy, but not terribly so. There is a plastic cap that fits over the USB input for proctective purposes that is a bit awkward - it has two plastic notches that fit into the body of the drive that are destined to break off in time. There are more compact flash drives out there - it looks pretty awkward sticking out of my smaller laptop - but again, how much are aesthetics really worth for something like this?

2 Star ReviewSpend a little more for something better
Strengths: Cheap, especially for 8gigs
Weaknesses: Cheap. Randomly gets usb error. SLOOOOOOOOOOW.
Summary: This is a cheap, large capacity drive. If you just care about cheap, this'll probably work for you. But now that they're ALL getting cheaper by the day, either hold out for a better brand to come down or just pay the extra $10 for something else.

I use this primarily for music. I've been getting an error where I have to unplug it and plug it back in. It's really slow. I have a SanDisk flash drive and it's about 10x faster. Also there's a light that blinks when it's in use, some people might like it, I think it's annoying.

Strengths: Compact, 8GB storage, fast USB 2.0 speed
Weaknesses: Cap is difficult to remove
Summary: I love this little USB drive. It's very small yet hold up to 8gb of data. It has light that flashes whenever data is being read or written. It is attractively priced when compared to similar capacity drives of different brands. It's well made and looks nice. The cap is a little difficult to remove. You have to squeeze the right surfaces for it to come off...maybe it's better that way so it does not fall off. Strongly recommended USB drive.
