Strengths: Aluminum case, new earbuds, small size.
Weaknesses: Sometimes difficult to turn off.
Summary: My favorite thing about the new Nano is the aluminum case. It is very sturdy and does not scratch. It's very lightweight and the screen is very bright. You can easily see the information about the song that is playing and the album artwork. The new earbuds are a big improvement over the old ones. They are slightly smaller and more comfortable. The sound is great, even from older CDs. This Nano does not come with an install CD, but it was easy to download and install the latest version of ITunes. Everything worked smoothly with my current ITunes music library.

The only problem I have had is sometimes it is difficult to turn off. I find that toggling the hold switch on and off twice helps.

Overall, I would recommend this Nano. The bright red color is awesome.

Strengths: The battery on this unit is out of this world, long. I took it to Paris and I did not have to even recharge it once.
Weaknesses: Small LCD screen, but you can't have it all I trades small unit for a small LCD screen.
Summary: Overall, this bright and vivid Ipod is hot, cool and ready to use right out of the box. I am not a computer wiz, and I figurged it out in no time. Headphone quality could be better but for the price how can you complain?

Strengths: Excellent sound
Weaknesses: One navigation
Summary: I have owned other MP3 players and I purchased this one as a gift for a relative. The ordering process was simple, it arrived in two work days and it was engraved! The iPod came out of the box charged and fully functional. I have had some trouble getting used to the one navigation button but I also have trouble navigating my other MP3 player, which is a Samsung. I believe the sound quality is excellent. Loading songs from iTunes is very quick and painless. I may have a difficult time parting with this at Christmas.

3 Star ReviewIt's Ok..
Strengths: - Good sound quality with stock earphones - Small and light! Good for jogging - Control wheel for navigation is easy and smooth - Does not scratched easily! (Thanks for correcting)
Weaknesses: - A bit on the expensive side considering its capacity - Feels fragile - Battery is about 6-7 hours long
Summary: 2007-01-25 18:58:40 This color is nice and buying it means you're doing a good cause for the AIDS community! I bought this near XMas which had the gift wrapping option for $5. Don't get it. The card is crappy with no design and it looked like it was printed with a inkjet printer! My card was somehow glued together so I was unable to open it to write more. Other than that, it is a good little device to carry around for music and disk storage.

Strengths: Very small, helps fight AIDS, holds a ton of songs
Weaknesses: Screen might be a bit small, wish it played video
Summary: This is really an awesome little mp3 player! I was so surprised how small it was when it came! I think it is really nice that the iPod is actually made of of Aluminum casing. This makes it very durable.

The nano also comes in a very cool clear acrylic packaging. This thing holds so many songs it is CRAZY!

The only downside is that the screen is a bit small and it does not play video clips.

Maybe Apple will come out with new features on the next nano?

All in all, a great Product!

Strengths: Very lightweight, durable, bright display, good sound, bright color!
Weaknesses: earbuds, off "switch", compatibility w/ other accessories.
Summary: This is the first MP3 player I have ever owned, but I truly love my red iPod nano (2nd Gen). The color is BEAUTIFUL and I love that some of my mony goes to the AIDS community to help battle that horrible disease. The sound and display are wonderful; very bright, organized, and detailed. Though I've had a case on my iPod for most of the time I have owned it, I've found that it really doesn't scratch easy which is a nice quality. I really hate the earbuds, though. I don't know what the improvements are from the old ones, but I may just have small ears. Every time I smile or sing along w/ a song the earbuds are pushed out of my ears almost completely. I agree with the previous review that turning the iPod off is a little difficult, especially if it's in the middle of playing a song. I have also been limited with the accessories I can purchase for my 2nd Gen nano because it's the most recent iPod, but I have run into problems buying accessories (watch out for eBay! They don't always list if it's 1st or 2nd Gen). Overall, I find this MP3 player very useful and effective in its functions with great perks like the display and durability.
