Strengths: Easy to install, great sound, bright and colorful display, removable face plate, presets.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I bought this unit for the iPod connector capability. The volume is powerful, so I burned out my speakers. I purchased new speakers and noticed there was too much base. There is a spot for connecting an amplifier, so I purchased an amplifier. All this sounds like a lot of work, but all installations were completed in several hours and my car now has a sound system that is totally Sony and totally rocks! My iPod plays flawlessly and there is absolutely no static. I am really happy with this purchase.

Strengths: Exceptional sound, even with Daewoo factory speakers. Easy to control buttons. Face detachable. This receiver's internal amplifier has plenty of power for any car audio system with 52W x 4.
Weaknesses: A protective case for the faceplate is not included. There should be more color dim light than just red and green. The remote control could have been bigger and have more controls.
Summary: This is one of the best radios with affordable cost and plenty of gadgets that can be added to the head unit and easy to drive. Easy to install the instructions are easy to fallow, and the sound is amazing. I have a Sony with a motorized flip down face and graphic display and have always been impressed by the sound quality. Sony units give me many sound choices with the DSO and built in equalizer. Overall, its sound is great and I love the surround sound system.

Strengths: Easy installation, Sound Quality, Bright Display
Weaknesses: Clock time and Station number not on the same display screen
Summary: I bought this head unit to replace a Sony unit I've had for over 10 years (only the FM tuner portion quit working). This new unit was easy to install. The display was bright and easy to read. The display dims when the headlights are turned on. The sound is great with many preset sound controls. It controls my remote CD changer in my trunk. Since I already had the rotary remote, I don't use the included hand-held remote. The front-mounted AUX is very convenient. All the controls are easy to use. I have yet to use a CD with MP3 ripped with iTunes. I'm very satisfied with this unit so far.

Strengths: Large display, remote control, different EQ sounds, auxiliary input for my iPod
Weaknesses: Have to open the unit to insert CD
Summary: I bought this product recently because my other Sony stereo broke. I came across this particular model, and I've seen only positive reviews about it. For me, it's been working great and the sound is fantastic. I'm still getting used to opening the unit to insert a cd, but for the most part, I use my iPod via the auxiliary input and it does the job. I haven't used this product for over a year yet, but I'm hoping it won't break at the one year mark like the previous model (CDXGT200).

Strengths: Multiple preset equalizer settings. Front input jack. CD slot behind the faceplate (keeps dirt and dust out). Easy to setup and use! Remote included!
Weaknesses: The only thing I didn't like was that you can choose either red or green lighted accents on the face plate, which is nice, but I think blue should be available. It would match most dashboard lighting.
Summary: Its a great radio with all the power I need, and I have it in a Mustang convertible. It has plenty of AM and FM presets, and plays CDs flawlessly. The front input jack is perfect for my XM receiver and my kids also use it for playing their favorites from their ipods. I wish I had upgraded from the factory radio sooner. I'll be getting another of the same model for my Toyota Tundra.

Strengths: Appearance, FM signal strength, sound quality and power. Aux input jack.
Weaknesses: Control buttons could be a bit more intuitive.
Summary: As a replacement for my vehicles oem cassette/FM stereo I chose this model because the price was right and the customer reviews were solid. It's appearance is not "disco flashy" like so many others offered, even when lit up. The charcoal black facade blends well with my dash colors (I didn't want silver colors). A major improvement over my oem radio is the way the Sony pulls in local FM stations....It finds them fast, and holds them strong. The sound quality is also an improvement, mostly attributed to the customized presets (XPLODE, ETC). The power is great,(52wx4)also exceeding my oem radio. I was told by the installer that by upgrading my speakers I could really be "rockin". Not being much of an audiophile budget concerns prevailed. Another major factor for my purchase was the aux input jack located on the front of the unit. This allows me to go mobile with my complete mp3 inventory of some 4000 tracks. A minor peeve for me would be that the control buttons for various features do not seem very intuitive. But what the heck, that's why they invented instruction manuals.
