Strengths: beautiful picture; easy to configure/connect; attractive; lightweight; economical
Weaknesses: bright blue light when TV is "off" (bad for the bedroom); must turn on master button on back of TV to turn on; no tuner
Summary: I got this TV for $299 from Fry's and it is probably the best purchase I have made all year. This TV is perfect for the bedroom and has wonderful audio/video. It is very attractive and is light enough to set on top of a DVD Player or TIVO box. The bright blue light that illuminates when the TV is off is very distracting for the bedroom when you are trying to sleep, but a small piece of electrical tape takes care of that. Olevia is definitely on the top of my list when I begin shopping for a larger TV for the family room. Olevia is produced by Syntax-Brillian, which also makes Vivitar.

Strengths: Good picture, good sound
Weaknesses: Wish speakers were on bottom, some menu options are difficulty to find. Can't program my Cable Box remote to the TV so must adjust sound from Olevia remote. The off LED is way too bright.
Summary: TV has nice appearance easy to set up. Some have complained about the remote not working or some functions not working I didn't have that problem it works fine. Should the remote not work a call to Olevia should get a new one quickly. I have not been able to program a universal remote to the TV. The cable company remote lists codes for the Olevia but it will not control the sound. The price value on this TV is excellent.

Strengths: Picture quality, construction, features
Weaknesses: Speakers
Summary: TV was rated very high on CR. I must agree from the others I've seen. Picture quality, contruction and features are fabulous.
Speakers are a bit weak...however, my apartment has built in surround sound, so once I plugged into that it was fine.
Overall, I really like the set and would get another Olevia but much larger.

Strengths: nice looking set/great picture/no adjustments needed/easy setup
Weaknesses: stupid brite blue lite on power button that lites up the house when set is off/ menu could be easier to read and use
Summary: great set at a low price. dont let the low price fool you.
picture holds its own compared to my living room sony set.
easy ability to connect to laptop and view movies or games on tv monitor. Olevia puts a very brite blue lite on power switch that shines forward throughout the room and also shines through the back of tv grid against the wall. very annoying.

Strengths: Picture quality
various input features
hdtv ready, with out need for a tuner
light weight
Weaknesses: No support for analog stand alone tv mode, but, still it is a more of an expectation
Summary: Its a best buy for the cost conscious person who would like to enjoy the latest HD quality pictures and the technology.
It has a slim build , and easy to handle/transport.
It works fine with the dvd player, or the adapter to show your laptop run data videos..
Thus its a best value for money..

Strengths: clear picture, easy set up
Weaknesses: no tuner
Summary: i ordered this product knowing there was no tuner inside...so i can only use it with a digital cable box. but i knew i would only be using it with digital tv anyways, so i'm fine with it. everything came as it said it would...will be even more worthwhile once i get my HD digital cable box. then i'm sure i'll have an amazing picture...just need to use the HDMI cable to connect! great great deal!

What did I buy!?
Strengths: It looks nice.
Weaknesses: Non existent technical support. The menu doesnt work on the tv, the picture is somewhat blurry, the remote doesnt work, it randomly will turn off when using tivo.
Summary: I'd have to say i am extremly disappointed in this product. I read reviews that seemed to praise this model, and i wish I had never listened and have spent an extra $150 on a name brand tv that provided technical support. The tv's has many programmable features, but none of them work. Tech support is non existant, I spent 30 mins on hold and finally hung up. Dont make the same mistake I did! Buyer beware, choose a name brand that you can trust!! Olevia is not it.

Strengths: Easy set up...great picture and price.
Weaknesses: Wish it came in black instead of silver.
Summary: This is my second Olevia T.V. purchase. This one is in my bedroom and is perfect for viewing from about 11 feet away. This T.V. does not come with a tuner (which I knew) so you'll need to use cable or dish receiver for this particular model. Right now am using component cable for interface. At some point want to try HDMI hook up which I'm sure will improve the picture even more. Great HD color and crispness (with some adjustments).

Strengths: great picture, easy menu navigation, nice remote, great price
Weaknesses: none found
Summary: I've been investing in BRLC, and thought I should try their product. Wow, what a TV, and I got it on sale for 399. This reinforces my 10K stock investment. Great product, great price, what more could
