Summary: After looking around at price, options and warrentee I purchased this LCD TV from Staples. The warrentee appears to be $100 less than Best Buy for the 4 year package ...it may be of interest but if at any point where the warrentee is honoured this is the termination of the warrentee agreement. A TV of this quality sure brings out the weakness of my equipment. The picture was good in AV & poorer with my Panasonic DVD in composit video mode as the Panasonic is not a progressive scan unit. Same with satellite. So really what i have bought is a big TV, and not much picture improvement because I don't have the money for a high def dish. All in all realizing what I know now I would not do it again, although the product appears to be top notch. 24% of People (7/29) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: Remote Summary: This is a great TV for the price. Xbox 360 works great on this TV. Wish there were more component cable connections, it only has one. So if you need more this might not be the TV for you. Has 3 HDMI connections though, but unfortunately the Xbox elite only just came out and that utilizes the HDMI. The remote on the otherhand is a piece of junk. Recommend the TV for what it is, an inexpensive TV that has a decent picture. 0% of People (0/1) found this review helpful. Good Dolby Digital audio. Easy setup. Weaknesses: Remote a little hard to work with. Not compatible for use with other remotes. Summary: Great LCD TV for the price. N/A Member Since: Product Experience: 30 Days	HD tuner has a problem Strengths: Great HD picture and despite what others say the sound system is not powerful but good. The price is great as well Weaknesses: The built-in HD tuner does not work correctly. I have been reading around now and my set is not he only one with this problem. Try and turn the tv off while using the TV source, u wont be happy Summary: Viesonic customer support tries to help but doesn't know this problem and I doubt they can solve it easily since there is no easy way for the customer to upgrade the program inside the tv Was this review helpful or unhelpful for you? customer_22 from NY Member Since: Feb 2007 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 30 Days	set has a problem Strengths: viewsonic has allways been a leader in displays Weaknesses: this set wont turn on again after it is turned off while the tuner is being used without doing several key strokes which will take about 1-2 minuted on the clock Summary: if you dont use the built in tuner you wont notice this problem. Weaknesses: Cannot seem to get the SPDIF/optical sound out to work yet. Summary: Great HD plus good STD TV picture, STD TV fills the screen automatically without distortion NO BARS. :) Though you need to sit back about 8ft or more not to see pixels. Good packaging, remote is a good universal remote for what you get price wise. 3 HDMI inputs plus all the other STD ones too, what more could you want.
