Strengths: Brand name Sony battery.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is the brand name Sony battery for my DSC-P200 Camera. I found a good deal with free shipping, so the price was competitive to the generic price with the added Sony quality. It's always useful having a backup battery and I am pleased with the purchase.

Strengths: Brand name of Sony and it was bought to be used with a Sony Camera. It came with a nice little box to keep the extra battery in and that keeps it well protected. A very good product.
Weaknesses: I didn't find any weaknesses
Summary: I have used Sony batteries in my other Sony digital camers and have had very good luck with them and I think this is an equally good product. It cost very little more than the generic brand and I feel better about using it in my camera.

Strengths: Much more affordable off of Price Grabber. In the store it would have cost me at least $20 more.
Weaknesses: Nothing that I've noticed so far. It's the exact same battery that came with my camera.
Summary: So far this battery seems to work well. Charges in about 2 hours after the initial charge. I think it will be worth it to have a second battery on had for when I am not able to charge my other battery right away. I don't want to end up with a dead battery when I'm on a trip somewhere.

Strengths: This is a brand new battery by SONY. I bought a digital camera, Sony DSC P200. This additional battery makes me happy whenever I go outside, or travel for a long time. Its price is reasonable.
Weaknesses: I didn't find anything. To find any weaknesses is to waste time.
Summary: I bought it from Amazon.com. at $33.94 with free shipping!
Fast delivery, safe and durable package are notable. To users of digital camera, it is definately necessary to have a spare one. In my opinion, it is important to use a battery by an official manufacture for enhancing life cycle of your digital camera.

Strengths: light; no memory effect; high capacity
Weaknesses: a little expensive
Summary: I bought this batteries for my camera Sony P100. When I used my P100, I always felt that one battery was not enough when I was travelling. I bought it from "digitalfoto" shop. It was brand new and sealed by Sony package. I like it because it is light and no memory effect and high capacity.
Its disadvantage is that it is a little expensive compared with AA batteries.

Strengths: Delivers a long lasting charge.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: My wife and I have used this battery for over 2 years in our Sony PC100. We are casual users with kids - so we take 200 to 250 photos/videos a month. The NP-FR1 battery lasted us 2 years before it went dead. Considering the grueling conditions we put it through, we were really pleased with the consistency and longevity of the battery. We've used the Sony W-1, which uses AA batteries, and it can't keep up with the battery life of the NP-FR1.

 A must for all Sony DSC-P200 digital camera owners. Strengths: Lightweight, and no memory effect.
Weaknesses: Price
Summary: Purchasing a spare battery is a necessity for most all users. Fully charged I found that it will take about 250-300 pictures, but to reach that optimal charge level it takes about 4 hours. It is small and light weight, but at $60 retail it makes one contemplate buying a cheaper Japanese substitute. If I had not found it online for $30 I would have likely gone that route.

Strengths: Origional equipment batteries work and last better than generic replacements
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I purchased the Sony battery from Amazon (via Adorama). They shipped promply and the price was very attractive. The battery and storage case came in the original blister pack and was the same battery as the one that came with my camera. I will definitely consider using PriceGrabber and Adorama again.

Strengths: Long Lasting.
Weaknesses: Expensive
Summary: This SONY NP-FR1 lasts a long time. Although, I would be happier if this battery would cost at least 30 bucks less. I was considering the purchase of the Generic Brand, but I did not want to take a chance of having to shop for this item again.

Strengths: Rechargeable time is above average.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This is my first digital camera and so as its battery. I can’t compare it with the other digital camera batteries. However, I am generally happy with the life span of the battery between each recharge. The fact that it is rechargeable saves money in the long run makes me happy.

Strengths: exactly as described and completely satisfied. I wasn't going to buy one at this time, but when I saw the price at PriceGrabber, didn't wait...saved a lot!

Summary: 2005-01-18 21:36:35 I charged the battery upon receipt and used it in my camera....it worked great...would recommend anyone having a digital camera purchase an extra battery. The recharge time is very long; therefore, having only 1 battery is not feasible. I would not trust a substitute as having a Sony digital camera..only would use the Sony battery recommended for it and pleased with the storage case that came with it.
