Strengths: Very powerful card, easy to setup, ideal for overclocking. This board can easily be flashed to an XT BIOS.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: The card installs very easily and is an excellent performer. MSI includes good documentation and a lot of free software with the card. The card appears to be physically very well designed with a massive heat sink/fan that allows one to overclock this card to XT speeds with no problems.

Strengths: great price, great performance, DX9
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Great card for anyone who wants performance but not a $300+ price tag. I upgraded from a Ti 4200 and the difference is amazing. The image quality of the ATI is noticably better than my old NVIDIA card. I got mine from New Egg for only $185 and am very happy with my purchase.

Strengths: As fast as all other 9800 Pro's, superb cooling, top-notch software bundle.
Weaknesses: Fan can make a quiet whine, uses the older style capacitors rather than the dry variety.
Summary: I only saw one review on the web about this particular card, so I took a chance with MSI. It turned out good, as this is probably one of the best 9800 Pro's on the market. The main difference is in the cooling, a massive heatink covers the front, GPU and RAM. On the back, an aluminum plate dissipates heat created from the memory with the use of thermal pads.
Installation was uneventful, and ATI reference drivers installed without problems. MSI used the 9800 XT core (R360) instead of the older 9800 Pro core (R350), and it shows up in the drivers as an XT. This card should have no problem being overclocked to speeds much higher than the XT line, with it's later core and well-designed cooling.
Bottom line - it's cheaper than ATI-made cards, it has better cooling, and it performs just as well (6028 in 3DMark03). No reason not to get it.

Strengths: Shows up as 9800XT and overclocks PAST XT speeds. Good heatsink.
Weaknesses: No temp sensor
Summary: Best bang for the buck. Use ATI Tool to overclock past XT speeds. MSI Live Update worked great. Max Farcry and Halo settings. I had a 9600XT from ASUS and this thing is soo much faster. Wish it had a temp sensor. I don't think you have to flash the bios as people say.. it shows up as an XT already and although I havent 3dmarked it..I know it will rock.

Strengths: Newer 9800XT core. Good cooling. Great display quality.
Weaknesses: Already out of date compared to newer Radeon X800 and GeForce 6800 cards. Software bundle is old.
Summary: Got this card at ZipZoomFly for $200 shipped, which I consider a lot of money for a video card, but it was worth every penny! This is my very first ATI card (been using nVidia for years) and the display quality is, in a word, AWESOME. I had always heard that ATI had better display quality but didn't really believe it until now. Compared to my old TI4200, the colors are brighter and the text is more crisp.
This card will play anything you throw at it with all the pretty options maxed out. I can't wait for Doom 3 and Half-Life 2! And, as a bonus, it uses the 9800XT core, so can theoretically be overclocked to XT speeds. And the cooling is much better than most stock ATI cards, so that should help keep everything stable.
The only minor complaint I have is that the included software is getting pretty old (Morrowwind, Duke Nukem). I bought an MSI TI4200 last year and got this same bundle. Guess it's better than nothing, which is what you get with most other manufacturers.
In summary, a great card for $200, and I've seen it as low as $195 shipped, so shop around.

Strengths: Great Driver Compatibilty, Single Slot, Reconized as a 9800XT
Weaknesses: Old Driver Bundle, Weak Power Connector, Power Consumption
Summary: 2004-09-19 06:27:32 Purchased for about xx from a great manufacturer, and recived via Fedex Shipping, Card has a BIG sink, but card is not heavy at all. Try to aviod removing the Power Connector, as it seems kinda flimsy. If your Worried about switching from Nvidia Cards, dont worry im a total convert. better drivers for less money! I did have problems with power consumption, but its probaly do to my chepo power supply. Great Card! The Sowtware Bundel is really Good Too, but make sure to update the software from MSI's Site

Strengths: -R360 core which is the core of the Radeon 9800 XT
-Lots of free software, although only some of it is actually useful.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: In my opinion this card gives the best performance to price ratio for the game player at this moment. Highly recommended for any one looking to play today's latest games on a budget.

Strengths: Huge heatsink for cooling, excellent price, excellent performance, bundled games and software included.
Weaknesses: None found so far.
Summary: I couldn't find any reviews on this card online, but I like msi stuff so I bought it anyway. It runs fabulously, I'm running games at high graphics settings without problems. It installed very easily and was up and running within minutes. The huge heatsink keeps it cooled even when gaming for hours on end. The price is lower than most other 9800 pro cards, yet performance is right on par with the rest. It came with a bunch of bundled software and full version games as well.
I would definately recommend this card to anyone looking for great performance at a great price.

Strengths: Nice card for the price - outperforms other 9800Pro series cards.
Weaknesses: Not the king of the hill that it once was.
Summary: Very nice card. I was in need of the upgrade (Gforce2 GTS) and this new card handles Doom3 better than I could ask for with new ATI drivers installed.
Great card for the value. This MSI card comes with the R360 core - the same core that comes on the 9800XT cards. This card will outperform all other 9800Pro's and the card has the onboard hardware to support such features. MSI cards have a much larger fan and heatsink combo than the regular ATI9800's.
If you cannot dump 400 on the new ATi or Nvidia - this is what you want.

Strengths: ATI Radeon 9800 Pro one of the best video cards and great price. Excellent performance, great quality, great customer support and well priced. MSI version came with really nice heatsink and R360 Core.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I used Pricegrabber.com and looked up the Video Card reviews, performance, what is included in the total package, and different stores to see who had the best price, warranty, and customer support. I decided on NewEgg.com (again). I ordered the Radeon 9800 Pro and recieved it in a few days. I installed it and it is very fast and a really nice picture. Completely satisified.
