2 Star ReviewBT problem
Strengths: It does what it says it'll do.
Weaknesses: When I use this NIC for BitTorrent, my system blue screens and resets. I had to go back to my onboard 3Com MiniPCI in order to use BiTTorrent successfully.
Summary: I originally bought this NIC hoping it would offload TCP checksums from the CPU. From within the drivers, the only option there is for negotiating the NIC speed. I even went to the website and downloaded the latest drivers for this product. This NIC took the same amount of CPU cycles as my 3Com. After playing around a bit, I found out that NetBEUI took the least amount of CPU cycles when transferring data from my laptop to my desktop. It only cost me the price of the Linksys to finally figure this out.
