Not Really Worth It
Strengths: Mops for you
Weaknesses: Noisy, requires special fluid, doesn't get corners, gets stuck easily, leaves floor wet
Summary: After having a Roomba for a couple years and absolutely loving it, I finally decided to splurge on the Scooba, and I now completely regret it. If you think that the Scooba is anywhere on par with the Roomba, then you're wrong. For example, the Roomba can clean in corners despite its round shape, whereas the Scooba can't. The Roomba can easily go over slightly raised areas on the floor, whereas the Scooba can't. (It keeps on getting stuck on the edge of a room where it's raised only a couple millimeters.) The Scooba leaves the floor damp afterwards, it requires special cleaning solution, and it's noisy (I personally find the buzzing noise it makes more annoying than the sound of a vacuum cleaner).
All that said, it's nice not having to mop the floor, and I'll continue to use it. However, don't expect the floor to be spotless and super shiny. The Scooba doesn't easily get some stuff that's stuck to the floor. You'll have to scrape that off yourself.
