Strengths: Good price, nice design, almost same as pro 73
Weaknesses: nothing,
Summary: it is very nice radar dectector for under $200. I was researching throught out the website. i researched that it is better than cobra 9700. never ever buy from cobra brands(i had cobra brands, it was not picking up on police cars at all.).I also read that sale rank is over 15,000 sales on whistler pro 58.whistler 75 only has 73 sales(58 and 73 are same but extra features on 73, but everything else is exact same.It would picked off at least 2.5 miles from other radar. highly recommend on whistler pro 58.

Strengths: Good price and features, nice design
Weaknesses: a little to big
Summary: Very good radar detector for that price (90$).I was researching throught out the website. I found review of this radar on professional site (4 rating stars on 5 maximum). Whistler pro 58 is cheaper than 73 and has almost the same features. Highly recommend whistler pro 58.

Strengths: Detection range.
Weaknesses: Not cordless.
Summary: The multi-color high contrast display makes it very easy to see the type and magnitude of the band being detected. It has POP detection as well, which many radar detectors don't have. I don't know how much it is used, but it's always good to have extra protection. It also has most "standard" radar detector characteristics such as 360 degree lasar detection, all band radar. It also has a "stay alert" function for those long nights on the road. Overall, it's a good deal for the lowest price you can find here on pricegrabber.

Strengths: accurate, reliable, sensitive, low price, ie, does it job off warning you that theres a cop around, cool blue led display
Weaknesses: slightly bluky, wish the display picture didnt have the letters is a rainbow color
Summary: 2007-05-08 04:21:31 I have been a radar detector user for the past five years and have bought a radio shack model, 2 cobras (9110 was one of them) and simple cheapo whistler. I used to buy only on the basis of brand name and what i heard was good from my friends, but this time i wanted to buy one based on some research. A radar detector is not for looks, so the blue LEDs or the rainbow colored letters, or slight bulk are not important, it just needs to do its job, prevent getting a speeding ticket. I did some homework and tried to look on the web for objective evidence, which was surprisingly hard to find. This was the most sensitive detector under 100 bucks by a long shot according to the scientific field testing. There are better products, such as the valentine and the escort, but im not willing to pay 400 bucks. so for the money, i bought mine for 85 bucks, its the best deal by a long shot. Also, the ugly colors of the different radars letters don't look as bad as they do in the product pictures. THE BEST BUY... its super sensitive, some false positives, but better than having even one false negatives, and is one of the few detectors sub-100 with POP detection. Do your homework, like me, and this is the one you'll pick.

Strengths: Price, good filtering, few false alarms, 3 city modes, accesories, outperforms many costing 2x as much.
Weaknesses: auto quiet mode is confusing, other than that not much
Summary: I purchased this as my first radar detector ever, after a bad peroid in the last two months with 3 speeding tickects. I have had this unit for about a week and a half and have traveled in several cities and about 300 highway miles. I read many reviews and objective tests on this and mant more expensive models. This unit has great sensitivity to give you the earlierst warning possible as well as good filtering to yield few false alarms. This model is the same as the Pro 78 except for that it does not talk and does not have a fancy display.

I love it every time that it goes off and I see a cop a few seconds later.
