Strengths: accurate, reliable, sensitive, low price, ie, does it job off warning you that theres a cop around, cool blue led display
Weaknesses: slightly bluky, wish the display picture didnt have the letters is a rainbow color
Summary: 2007-05-08 04:21:31 I have been a radar detector user for the past five years and have bought a radio shack model, 2 cobras (9110 was one of them) and simple cheapo whistler. I used to buy only on the basis of brand name and what i heard was good from my friends, but this time i wanted to buy one based on some research. A radar detector is not for looks, so the blue LEDs or the rainbow colored letters, or slight bulk are not important, it just needs to do its job, prevent getting a speeding ticket. I did some homework and tried to look on the web for objective evidence, which was surprisingly hard to find. This was the most sensitive detector under 100 bucks by a long shot according to the scientific field testing. There are better products, such as the valentine and the escort, but im not willing to pay 400 bucks. so for the money, i bought mine for 85 bucks, its the best deal by a long shot. Also, the ugly colors of the different radars letters don't look as bad as they do in the product pictures. THE BEST BUY... its super sensitive, some false positives, but better than having even one false negatives, and is one of the few detectors sub-100 with POP detection. Do your homework, like me, and this is the one you'll pick.
