Strengths: Folding design allows for easy portability, good sound quality
Weaknesses: may pick up some electrical interference
Summary: These headphones are great for the price. The noise cancelling feature works well, but don't expect it to remove 100% of the background noise. The packing claims that it can reduce the noise by 75%. These are great for travelers since it folds up to a compact size and the retractable cord is out of the way. The only problem I have had is a buzzing sound coming from the headphones when I had the noise cancelling feature on with my portable DVD player plugged into the wall. I am not sure if the problem is with my DVD player or with my headphones. The buzzing went away if I turned off the nosie cancelling or if I ran the DVD player with the battery. I think the headphones must have been picking up interference from the electrical cord. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of the product.

Strengths: Easy fit, wind up cord, convenient On/Off Switch
Weaknesses: None detected
Summary: On a recent series of Boeing 757 flights I was able to use these to listen to my portable DVD player without having to turn up the volume to the max. The deep bass drone of the engines was nearly eliminated.
The easy to flick On/Off Switch allows immediate comparison of the noise reduction effect.
At this price the unit can not be beat

Strengths: great sound and the retractable cord is awesome, it has really good battery life
Weaknesses: none that i can think of
Summary: I use them for drumming and they block out almost all of the noise, the sound is great. I tried using regular headphones for drumming and it was a no go. I recomend these for anyone who is serious about hearing there music.

Strengths: Price, sound, noise cancelling effect
Weaknesses: Comfort, all plastic structure
Summary: This is a great headphone. I also have a KOSS Quiet Zone 2000 which cost 5x more but does the same in terms of its noise cancelling abilities and is less flimsy then the KOSS. This headphone is a great value, and I believe that the sound quality is equivalent to that of much pricier models. It also has the noise canceling built in right on the headphone, so there is dangling sound processing module. It also covers the ear entirely, which creates some passive noise reduction that works in concert with the active system. Great buy!

Not That Impressed
Strengths: Affordable
Weaknesses: Not a great base response and uncomfortable.
Summary: I found these to be uncomfortable and I'm constantly adjusting them to try getting it to fit better. They give me a headache from being so tight, and I have an average sized head for an adult male.

Strengths: Price, sound, noise cancelling works great
Weaknesses: Comfort sized for small ears (Kids)
Summary: A great headphone for the price. I just used them for 8 hours of plane travel and they were better than I expected. The sound quality was great and noise was cut to a minimum. The problem with these are that your ears will ache after a few hours. My wife had the same problem with comfort, she also complained it bothered the top of her head. I would recommend these for short flights only since they will cause discomfort on longer flights.

Strengths: Work to some extend
Weaknesses: Not comfortable if you wear for more than hours.
Summary: It works. I can find difference when I travel. It is better than my previous non-noise cancelling headphone. But it is not great. Sometimes you still need adjust volume. It is nice to have a portable bag. But it is not very comfortable if you wear hours. So it may need to improve.

Strengths: value, reduces noise, good headphone
Weaknesses: one small double needle adapter is good enough for all purpose
Summary: I bought this headphone caused by a lot of good reviews and the airplane noise. I was not happy on my 1st long flight (15.5 hours) after owned the new JVC. It comes with a double needle adapter only but the plane needed a big adapter for on-flight entertainment as home stereo!! I needed to shop around to get the big adapter. Finally, I could enjoy music, movie, sleep by my new noise canceling headphone on my return flight. Overall, it's a good noise cancelling headphones. Don't suggest to use for long hours. It hurts my big ears. Your ears should need a rest after certain hours. So you know what to do after you bought this headphone.

Strengths: Good headphones for the price
Weaknesses: Bass and noise cancelling could be better
Summary: Overall very good set of headphones for only $40. The audio quality is very good, but bass could be better as could noise reduction. They fold up to be quite compact and come with a carry bag. I like the retractable cord. Happy with this purchase.

Strengths: Did well at blocking out unwanted sound. I used them for air travel and had on a classical station or movie. They were comfortable too.
Weaknesses: I don't know if this was due to the headphones or not but with sound blocked out I couldn't turn the volume down low enough for my taste.
Summary: I would recommend these headphones without hesitation. They were comfortable and lightweight. Did well at blocking out unwanted sound and were nice for air travel. The air plug (2 3.5 mm jacks) converter is handy also.

Strengths: Portability, Comfort, Price
Weaknesses: For the price, none at all
Summary: These headphones seem to be of very good quality, quite sturdy, not at all flimsy. Well designed hinged headband, excellent adjustment range. Very comfortable to wear, not heavy at all. Ear cups are also comfortable, nice fit with soft pads, although the material may prove to be a bit hot in warmer climates(I'll know come summer time). Sound quality is excellent as highs, mids, and lows are all reproduced well. Some interference is heard at times, especially from my cell phone. As far as noise cancellation, they advertise 75%, although 50% is probably more accurate. Overall a good product I would recommend.
