Strengths: Good feature set, reasonable hard drive space, good video quality via hard drive and DVD-RAM
Weaknesses: Quality of video recorded to DVD-R somewhat less than hoped for - "noise blocks" in dark areas and slight color shift in shadow
Summary: I chose "satisfactory" in the rating but, given that it is an early implimentation of a DVD recording set-top unit, I'd probably buy it again. I guess I was hoping for a nearly identical duplication of what was on the hard drive onto DVD. Probably too much to expect from the current technology.
