Strengths: Excellent graphics and options for PCI local bus.
Weaknesses: What's not to love?
Summary: I was able to recently purchase an old dual Xeon server board, which had oodles of power but unfortunately did not have a graphics slot. This was okay because I really wanted to use it as a DAW. The onboard graphics wouldn't even run the screen saver that I wanted, so I started shopping around for a PCI video card.
Knowing that PCI is very limited, I compared many cards to get the best I could get, and my search led me to this card. The FX5200 is a great chip, but the real keys to the performance of this card are the large memory and the 128 bit memory pipeline - most cheaper cards have a 64 bit pipeline, which just doesn't cut it.
Once installed, I was amazed at what it could do, being just a PCI card. It ran most of my games without a hiccup, and any other graphics application flawlessly. Installation was a breeze, and it also comes with an overclocking utility if you feel the need. I loved this card so much, I bought two!
