Strengths: Great sound quality. Great frequency response (down to 2Hz wow!). Reasonably cheap. High output power. What more could one ask for?
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: This system is really worth the approximately 300$ i paid for. The sound quality is great, is reasonably easy to set up and is more than adequate for most home theater systems. I bought this to use with my BenQ PB6100 projector and dont see why I should go to the theater again in my life. I strongly recommend this system to one and all.

Strengths: easy setup, compact size, user-friendly remote, good sound quality for the price, DVD and amplifier all in one small cabinet
Weaknesses: only 1 auxiliary input, no digital/optical/coaxial connections, weak AM tuner
Summary: If you are not an audiophile, but want a good-sounding, unobtrusive home theater setup with a minimum number of components, consider this most basic Sony Dream System or one of its upgraded siblings.

Setting up the system is easy - speakers come with color coded wires, and all you really need is to run a video cable to your television (the system allows for 3-conductor component cable, S-video, or old-fashioned single-wire).

Manual is easy to understand, and the settings menus (either on the TV screen or the LED front panel) are simple to navigate.

For having such small speakers (3 inch cubes), the unit puts out a lot of sound. Living in a condominium, I don't want or need wall-rattling bass (neither do my neighbors, I'm sure!), and this system gives me all the sound I need at a very reasonable price.
