Strengths: Its size is very compact. Definitely smaller than I thought. Sound quality is among top.
Weaknesses: Control is not very easy. Need lots of time to figure out how to play with those functions. The joy stick plays too much function.
Summary: I never thought this mp3 could be so small! And I like its color-sapphire. If this mp3 is easier to control then it would be perfect. Lots of function are implemented by the joystick so it is confusing when you want to switch between your songs or switch back from FM radio to playing songs. You will love this mp3 player like I do so I will recommend it. By the way, I bought it from Officedepot, very inexpensive.

3 Star ReviewBest Mini MP3 in the market before Mobliblu Cube
Strengths: Hugely compact, slick design, user-frindly
Weaknesses: Memory Storage kind of insufficient in today's mp3 world
Summary: I happened to grabbed one at officedepot at discontinued price. While used in a paralle test with Muvo2 and Govideo Mp4, the sound quality of this samsung play ranks in the middle, falling far behind Muvo2 which uses a taxes instructment chipset. General speaking, samsung outperforms in portability and outlook, but if you are a serious MP3'er looking particularly to the sound effect side, this might not be your choice.

Strengths: Reliable; simple to use, good sound quality.
Weaknesses: no memory slot
Summary: This product's software has a very simple-to-use interface. The sound quality is very good. The controls for navigating the mp3 player make life very easy. The only problem is there is no memory expansion slot. Overall I would recommend it - it is a good value for the cost.

Strengths: Size and capabilities
Weaknesses: There aren't any as far as I can see.
Summary: I am VERY pleased with this item!! I have only had it for a day and it has surpassed my expectations. It is easy to operate and the size is fantastic!

Starting with the accesories, the case may be made of a light plastic, but it serves the purpose of protecting the LCD screen, battery door and buttons. The neckstrap is a nice corded strap and not flimsy nylon. It can be adjusted around the neck so it can be shorter if needed. The ring for the strap is small, however, another ring could be put through it and a carabiner or other type of clip could be used to hook it to a belt loop or waist pack. The earphones are much better than I expected and the sound is great!

The player itself is fantastic!! It is not hard to operate, it takes reading through the book and working with the player at the same time to figure all of the functions out. Getting it set up with the computer was a breeze too. The LCD light is good for lower light situations and it can be shut off for bright days. The voice recording feature works very well and the playback quality is better than many of the digital recorders on the market.

Overall, it is a fantastic item and I recommend it completely! For the money, it is a great deal!! I have had two other mp3 players and by far this is the best!!

Strengths: Tiny and light-weighted; The sound quality is even better than I expected; I didn't try a lot with the FM radio, but it seems to have good signals; The software is easy to use.
Weaknesses: Earphone does not fit well. Doesn't have belt with it. Battery can't last as long as I expected. The hold function once doesn't work!
Summary: As I said, it's really tiny and light-weighted, which I think is the main feature of this mp3 player. The major disadvantage is it doesn’t have a wrist belt come with it, so it might be inconvenient if you want to use it in gym or when jogging. But it is so tiny that you can just put it in your pocket. Overall, I like this tiny thing although it's a little expensive according to its quality and features.

Strengths: Small size, simple to load music, great sound, light weight, decent FM reception.
Weaknesses: no way to clip on a belt, I need my reading glasses to read the small font on the display. Instructions a little cryptic and could be improved.
Summary: I bought the YP-TV5 MP3 player for my wife to replace a small radio she uses while working out. The most important features were the small size-about the size of a BiC lighter (a little broader but shorter), and light weight. It also features an FM radio along with the ability to preset channels and encode directly from FM broadcast. She also loved the color and appearance. This is our first MP3 player, so there was a learning curve in loading music from CDs--I have not yet tried downloadiing from internet sites. The unit uses a single triple-A battery, so you do not need to fool around with chargers and a bunch of loose accessories.

The unit comes with a little transparent plastic case--not clear why--and a neck strap. Since she would like to use it while working out, we are trying to figure out a way to clip it to her waistband without having it drop off or get in the way. It seems the neck strap would not work that well while jogging, for example. I wear glasses for reading and need the glasses to see the display. The small size means that it may lack some of the features (like folders) you may find on larger units.

If you are looking for a tiny, lightweight, easy-to-use MP-3 player with good sound in an attractive package, this should be on your short-list. I don't think you will find a smaller unit.

Strengths: small, easy to use
Weaknesses: I don't know
Summary: Samsung YP-T5V 256MB MP3 Player looks cool and small. I like Samsung products! It can also serve as a USB flash drive. I can't find the weaknesses. It's very nice!

2 Star ReviewOn the first one, after 6 weeks of use, the earpho ...
Strengths: The ease of use is the only thing this has going for it. Other than that, the only other positive is that it is small, so it is easy to lose, and can buy a different one.
Weaknesses: I have had to return two of them. I am on my third one. The other two had the same problems, they would just shut off randomly while in use.
Summary: On the first one, after 6 weeks of use, the earphones decided to only work out of one side. That was in addition to shutting off almost everytime it was touched while in use. The second one, besides shutting off for no reason, would go through 1 battery per day. I would only use it for maybe an hour and a half a day. I haven't had any problems with the third one yet, but I have only had it for a couple of days. I can't wait to see what goes wrong next. Other than that.. no complaints. Do not buy this unless you get a warranty or just like to waste your money.

Strengths: Small size Ease of use Trendy design
Weaknesses: Sound quality could be better
Summary: As opposed to the iPod, this Yepp player has all things small going for it. If you need a player that can fit in your pockets THIS IS THE ONE. Absolutely a wonderful choice in terms of size and price and overall quality. The recording option is why I bought this player and it is really easy to use. I haven't looked at the instruction booklet even once and I can do all there is to do with it. Installation was a breeze and putting the songs into the player was just as easy. Simply copy and paste your music files from your folder into the folder marked for the Yepp player and then enjoy. The only qualm I have is that I wanted a black one but recieved a blue one, but that is my fault. Also, you can choose the color you want your LCD display to be, regardless of the color of the player itself.

Strengths: Small, high quantity of sound, and with some essential function-- FM radio, FM/inline/voice realtime encoding.
Weaknesses: The earphone will make you uncomfortable when you listen to music for a long time. It seems that the shape of earphone should change to fit the ears of ordinary people.
Summary: I bought it for J & R, and have used it for nearly one week. I must say that it is a very good mp3 player with tiny design. The quantity of music is very good comparing with other ones. But you must buy AAA size battery to use it. If samsung provides chargeable battery, that will make me feel much better.

1 Star Reviewsamsung sucks
Strengths: none
Weaknesses: My mp3 doesn't have sound on one side of the headphone, it has been repaired twice, and it still has the problem. Samsung costomer service is extremely inefficient.
Summary: It started having problems after a couple of months, and it took so long to get repaired or get an exchange. Bad product, bad customer service!!!!! I'll never waste my money on samsung!

Strengths: compact size, light weight, great sound, price, long battery power
Weaknesses: flimsy USB cover, no armband, confusing software
Summary: This is my second MP3 player, and I have used YP-T5V for a short time but I am very satisfied with it. The sound quality is excellent, and it has been very convenient to carry it around while I'm lifting weights. Unlike my older MP3 player, it did not freeze or lock-up. It is so small and light that it fits anywhere. The radio works perfectly, and I have used the Yepp to record lectures and as storage device to store document files. Its programmed equalizer features are great, especially "WOW." Earphones were better than I expected. I like the fancy changing of LCD colors also. I was debating between this and iRiver iFP-790, which has very similar features but a little bigger and pricier. When I got a $30 off coupon from Staples, I had to get this Samsung one. $120 for a 256MB MP3 player cannot be turned down, you know? It is amazing how Samsung could put so many features into this little gadget. Samsung has lived up to its reputation as the most profitable electronic company in the world.

Strengths: Easy to use, nice size
Weaknesses: nothing to find right now
Summary: This actually holds more music than I thought it would. I bought 2 Dell Pocket DJ's for my daughters this past Xmas and I use theirs when I walk...I came across this and figured its worth a shot and great for when I walk because its smaller.
