Strengths: User friendly, looks awesome, quick load time, XM-radio ready, plays wma/mp3, can download new videos/backgrounds.
Weaknesses: No scrolling text-often the titles get cut off.
Summary: I also agree that Alpine and Pioneer are two of the best brands of head units, but Pioneer beats Alpine is its ease of use. There are so many aspects of the unit that you can tweak, yet the system sounds great even if you don't bother. It looks as good as it is user friendly. Pioneer is very reliable, and the premier is good in that it has the higher voltage pre-outs and a longer warranty. You can design your own videos and background pictures or you can download additional ones from the website. The cds load up quickly, and you can even type in and store titles for cds without tags. With the remote you can jump directly to a track number, which is handy when driving and playing a disc with hundreds of tracks. You can also jump directly to a channel with XM-radio, but only if you get a Pioneer made XM tuner (no longer made). Overall, I am extremely happy and impressed with this unit, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice looking and easy to use high-end model of player. And BTW, I am a woman and I figured out how to use it very quickly...
