1 Star ReviewNice picture, but all functions lock up!!
Strengths: Nice vivid picture using HDMI,DVI, and component inputs. Great Price
Weaknesses: TV front panel and remote lock up and nothing can be done unless power switch is reset in the back of the TV.
Summary: This is the Protron PLTV 3250 which has a new name of Spectron IQ. I purchased the TV new at Sears for $549, which was said to be originally $1029. Within the first hour the TV was locked up (No buttons on the remote or on the front panel would respond). Took the TV back to Sears 2 days later and they said the TV is discontinued and I couldn't order a replacement and would have to go to another Sears store to get a replacement. I drove 30 miles to the next Sears store and they had 8 in stock. Took it home and within 2 hours this TV did the same thing as the first. It locked up and had to reset it with the power switch in the back. I am waiting for a return authorization shipper from Protron to get a new TV now.

Strengths: Widescreen, built-in tuner, PC input, bright clear picture, touch sensitive buttons, can be wall-mounted!
Weaknesses: menu system a bit confusing, takes some time switching between inputs
Summary: This 32" LCD television was easy to setup out of the box! However the menu system is a bit confusing, using both a "main menu" from the DTV input and a secondary menu system using other inputs. I could not auto program using a non-digital signal (cable). The date format is day/month/year rather than month/day/year (also confusing). Where this LCD really shines is picture quality, offering a bright, crisp picture with auto settings for sports, movie, and other preferences (both audio and video). Make sure you check your time zone as the default is "Atlantic." Sound quality is excellent with bass/treble conrols; many included accessories - remote; HD video and audio cables, quick setup guide and manuals, all very nicely packaged. Overall a great package at a very reasonable price. If not for the non-intuitive menu system I would have awarded 5 stars. I highly recommend this unit!

Strengths: Picture quality is great. Very good price. Also not needing to purchase many cables since all the cables you really need besides an HDMI cable are already in the box.
Weaknesses: The menu is a little bit confusing. The warranty seems a little confusing also. It states that for 37" and below it needs to be sent to their National Return Center.
Summary: I work for Sharp Electronics and I have to say this unit is almost as good of quality as Sharp LCD's. I bought it for $699.99 at sears. Didn't bother to get the extended warranty through Sears because but since I looked at the Protron warranty it seems like I will get the sears warranty. I have only had it for a couple days so don't know how it will hold up in the long run.

Strengths: Easy to use, great quality picture, great price, and amazing warranty.
Weaknesses: Name not as well known.
Summary: This company was not very well known to me, but because of their price I decided to purchase. It was the best deal I have ever made!!! Everything about this TV is awesome!!! I am so lucky to have made the discovery of this great brand. The customer service was rather helpful and was able to direct me where I wanted to go. I would recommend this television to anyone!!!

1 Star ReviewTV quality
Strengths: picture quality
Weaknesses: durability
Summary: Purchased unit at Big Lot's two years ago for 500.00 dollars and it lost total power two years later. Tried to call 800 number in booklet but never an answer. Spoke to Big Lot Corporage people and they told me that Spectroniq is no longer in business. Took TV to local repair shop and they wanted 225.00 dollars for new power supply unit. Need to contact someone for guidance on what to do.

Strengths: Picture, HDMI input, Multiple component inputs, weight
Weaknesses: None yet
Summary: I bought this tv on a whim since Biglots had them new in the box for $499. I have been pleasantly surprised with its performance. I use it in my den and also take it in my travel trailer when we camp. So far (2 months) it has held up well. No problems whatsoever which is surprising since it gets disconnected, moved and reconnected several times a month.
