Strengths: Quick, lots of storage space, nice looking, good user interface (extra buttons over other PPCs), bright clear screen, Windows Mobile 2003
Weaknesses: synch cable connector prone to problems at times
Summary: I bought a Dell certified refurbished unit from www.computergeeks.com, but the only way you'd know is to see the sticker in the battery compartment. It arrived in near perfect condition, with my only complaint being a somewhat unreliable attachment of the synch cable connector.

I wasn't sure what I'd end up using a PDA for, but now I carry it everywhere. MP3 player, digital photo displayer, contacts and appointment keeper, Word and Excel viewer (I teach at a college, keep my grades and attendance on the desktop Excel, which translates fine) and I can even play TextTwist and Chess on the go.

The Dell screen is very nice, the battery goes for over 10 hours, the built in apps (including some specific to Dell) are easy to use, the size and weight are reasonable. In comparison to similar products, I think this one is tops for the money! My only additions would be more SD memory (I have one 256MB, but am looking at a 1GB) and a WiFi network card - the Dell accepts SDIO wireless cards, and Sandisk has one for about $70 that includes 256MB of RAM that I'm contemplating.

I think this was one of the best "techy" purchases I've made in a long time - highly recommended, as is the company ComputerGeeks.com.
