Strengths: Picture Quality is brilliant on HD input and on my upscalled Toshiba DVD player. Pretty good on non HD input.
Weaknesses: Get an Amp - speakers aren't up to much, changing DTV to TV to Sat to DVD etc is more complicated than necessary.
Summary: The Sharp came late to me just as I was about to buy a plasma. But worried about burn and life of a plasma I was recommended to look into the new 1080p Sharp LCD. I checked it out and was blown away by the HD input quality, every bit as good as the Panasonic Plasma beside it in the store. OK, more expensive inch/inch viewing (about 15%) but no fear factor that come with Plasma. I have rigged it up to tannoy speakers and a decent yamaha amp (RX-V459DAB) and bought high Q cabling. I'm not a hi-fi buff but 'Oh Wow, what a combination' Excellent choice
