Strengths: Size, Price, Ease of Use, Design, Style, Value, Intel Dual Core Processor
Weaknesses: Lack of easy user expandability, The need for external upgrades, small hard drives
Summary: This is my second Apple Mac Mini. I truly enjoy using this product that much. With all it's strengths it is by far a great value in desktops. With the built-in wireless, bluetooth it can connect to any products I already own, such as my cell phone, palm device. It sits on my desk & I forget it is even there. Whisper quiet & the images I get from it are beautiful. You cannot beat the styling either. No one even guesses it is a full featured computer.

My first Mac Mini went to my parents, because they were looking for a simple easy internet machine with word processor capable features. I just wanted the option to use Windows XP or OS X whenever I needed. I have been a IBM PC clone user for years & one taste of an Apple & I was sold. If you are into music, photography, internet, anything, this little box can do it all without breaking a sweat.

Strengths: nice and compact, does what I need it to do and for a good price. Goes well with my hd tv.
Weaknesses: it's a pain to upgrade the ram (I was sweating through the whole process, felt like disarming a bomb). When doing labor intensive processing, it sounds like a jet taking off.
Summary: 2007-04-05 11:03:03 I just got my mini today and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed. I have an imac already and this is just as powerful as that, minus the whole graphics thing due to the integrated graphics. I wanted to get an apple tv and I also need a good computer, since I'm cheap, I got the mac mini and it's amazing.

On my second day with it I noticed that the little guy's fans rev up pretty loud when you make it do a lot of work. It's not a big deal if you have background noise, but if all you're doing is working on the computer, it can be annoying. Fortunately, when you're watching a dvd, listening to music and such, you don't hear it at all.

Strengths: Very small footprint, great style and features. Fast Intel duo core processor. Front Row is very cool!
Weaknesses: Hard to upgrade. Non upgradable video ram with shared memory.
Summary: I have to say that I am quite impressed by this little Intel Mac Mini computer. It's very quick with the duo core processor and does most routine computing tasks with ease. Front Row with the included remote is very cool! Streaming movie trailers in fullscreen is a gas with iMovie and having access to iTunes and iPhoto and viewing or listening while using the included remote control really brings more of the media center capabilities of the Mac Mini into focus. While this is not a computer to do heavy video editing or photoshop work, it is a perfectly capable computer for internet surfing, disc burning and media center fun. The negatives are the 64mb of shared video ram with no way of upgrading it. Also trying to upgrade the memory or hard drive later will be difficult and Apple states it should only be done by their certified techs. So you will have to pay extra for labor along with the cost of extra memory or hard drives.

Overall I would recommend the Mac Mini for casual computer users.

Strengths: Powerful processor and elegant design. Remote
Weaknesses: Computing power is limited due to the small size. Supplied RAM is not enough.
Summary: THis is a nice little Mac. It occupies virtually no space on your desktop, and can be carried around if needed. Mac OS X runs very stably on mac mini. I recommend adding RAMs to it to improve speed. Although it can't replace its big brother Mac pro or Apple laptops, it is a fun Mac to use.
