Strengths: I would highly recomend them to anyone as a set of headphones that you can really get your monies worth from. The sound is clear and crisp. They are light weight. They work out perfectly with digital
Weaknesses: It's too big for daily carry and the price is still a little high.
Summary: This's great earphones, in all sound areas, especially in high frequency. Good for opera, light music and classics. I used one for a year, then I think I need to get one for my office usage, it gives you the music and meanwhile isolate you from the noisy outside. Really a good one to recomeed, better than Bose I used.

Strengths: -Extremely durable. -Loud
Weaknesses: -Miniplug to 1/4" adapter screw becomes loose --> signal breaks up.
Summary: 2006-02-27 01:14:44 I have had these headphones for 4 years & I couldn't be happier. I'm now buying another pair for my other bag. As a dj, my headphones take a beating. I handle them pretty roughly & I've dropped them, but they still work very well. They output an enormous amount of volume. I was tempted to go for the v700's this time around, but I hear too many people having problems with the swivel joint. The v600's are marketed as studio headphones, but work just fine for me djing. My only gripe is the way Sony design's the quarter inch adapter. If it inadvertantly becomes loose, the sound can cut out. I'd prefer just a jack.

2 Star ReviewBass-Heavy! Be warned
Strengths: These headphones do provide what seems a reasonably well balanced sound at first listening, but you'll soon find yourself turning down the bass just a little here and there. Comfortable, inexpensive.
Weaknesses: Definately and most unfortunately, these headphones provide a false and strong bass boost. Quite unnaturally so.
Summary: I have upgraded to Sennheiser 580s as, I required headphones to help in a recording project, from first take to mixing and mastering. These Sony headphones were useless anytime I wanted a good reference on the audio quality. I only use them now to listen to the radio late at night or other music unrelated to recording at all.

I would never recommend these. They are too bass heavy and Sony should have fixed that, as they do have good tone otherwise in the mids and highs, plus a very very comfortable fit.

Strengths: can wear for long periods of time, great sound
Weaknesses: a bit bulky
Summary: I've been wearing these in a professional capacity, 7 hours a day for just less than a week.

Unfortunately, I'm not listening to music, but dialogue. My main concern is comfort, because of the length of time I have to wear them. I've found that these Sony V600's are very comfortable after hours and hours of wearing them. After awhile I do feel some slight discomfort but I can take them off during a break and go back to them with no problem. The pair I wore before were excruciating after a very short time, so I switched to ear buds but they let in too much ambient noise and weren't a good choice in the capacity that I was using them.

I also like that you can fold them up and tuck them away.

I think for the price, these are a very good choice.

Strengths: Great Sound, Great comfort, very easy to use and store away with the ability to fold them up, overall great headphones
Weaknesses: the cord has a waxy finish whereas the old set used to have a smooth glossy finish, nothing too bad considering it has no effect on the sound quality
Summary: the original pair i had were great for the 7 or so years i had them, sounded excellent up through the time they were stolen, got another pair to replace em and love them even more, they work great with an ipod especially on long trips, they are more comfortable than the ear buds provided by apple, love these for airplane travel or long trips in the car plus just sitting around the house or using for gaming on the computer

pick these up, great price for a great product, i originally got them for $100 at best buy and now they are $30 dollars cheaper, so why not?

Strengths: blocks sound very well good quality; high end clear, low end is good earcups swivel fits nicely - no problems it folds up to fit in a case that comes with it
Weaknesses: turn the volume or the equilazer of certain bands up and it gets fuzzy. The low end could be better, but i'm just being picky.
Summary: Real nice deal for those who like to hear more from their music

i would definitely reccomend these to anyone who doesn't want to spend the money for the very expensive headphones, but want the most of the quality of them. the sound quality to price ratio is nice, though.

I definitely don't regret this purchase.

Strengths: Light weight, compact, great quality
Weaknesses: tends to slip off easily if not adjusted properly
Summary: These headphones are the greatest! Very comfortable to wear for long hours and they are so compact that you can take them along just anywhere. The extra long cord makes it easy to move about without it getting entangled. The cushioning on the earphones is really soft and makes for comfortable wearing, for long hours. I got this at a really good price and am just so happy with it. I think they are definitely worth it and would recommend them as a great set of headphones!
