Weaknesses: Extremely slow through windows sharing (samba) and still does not acheive gigabit speeds even through FTP. Other external storage devices are much larger and use faster drives
Summary: A colleague of mine has one of these devices and swears by it for his group. However, when i attached this to my gigabit network, I was unable to get transfer speeds that approach the limit of 100 MBit let alone gigabit. The windows sharing is far slower than that speed only achieving less than 10 MBit (probably closer to 1 MBit). The device is reasonably easy to configure although I could not change the administration user name.
