Strengths: Durable, light, great sound reproduction
Weaknesses: Still haven't found one yet
Summary: This is certainly the best gear you can have for playing PS2 Karaoke Games out there.

After comparing it with the USB Headset made for PS2 also, I feel that this microphone is far better than the Headset.

Not only that you will have a better feel when using (it's a karaoke microphone), it is durable, solid, and very light so you can sing for hours without getting your hands numb. It seems to me as a high-quality product and does not seem to be broken easily even if you throw it many times to the carpet.

It is actually quite small (smaller than those mic you use at the karaoke stations), but enough to give us a good grip to it.

The fifteen feet cord is very light but durable. It does not pull the microphone down when you are holding it, and its length is quite useful if you are playing with many people or standing as you sing.

The microphone reproduces our voice accurately to the PS2, and I have never experience any cutoff or connections problems.

Also, buying this thing does not seem to be a bad investment ; Konami always comes up with new Karaoke Revolutions games every year, and they are quite good. Konami improved the gameplay from game to game and added 35+ new songs per game (currently there are 3 volumes).

Unless you need a dual-purpose gear to play karaoke games and online first person shooter game (Logitech USB Headset), you should stick with the USB Mic for playing karaoke games.

Strengths: The cord is really long so you can stand pretty far back.
Weaknesses: Sometimes the sound quality is poor. And I feel like I have to have the microphone right on my mouth for the sound to register.
Summary: I like this microphone because it is a real microphone not some fake toy one. The cord is actually longer than the PS2 control so I can stand almost anywhere and move around at my leisure. I wish the PS2 control was as long when we are changing songs. The microphone is also a good weight. Not too heavy, not too light.

Strengths: Great mic to play the Karaoke games on the PS2
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2005-01-01 16:46:43 This mic has a solid strong construction and will last longer than the other mic's made for the PS2. It is way better than the headset that you get with the game bundle. It has a long 15 feet cord, so that you can have all the space in the world when you sing away.

Strengths: Long 15ft cord.
Weaknesses: Feels very light.
Summary: This microphone works great on Rock Band and American Idol for the Xbox 360. Much better than the 360 normal headset. It will also work for PS2 and PS3 games.

Strengths: sturdy design; compact; thick body; long cord
Weaknesses: inline box/converter; only one mic for one USB port
Summary: 2007-05-18 13:05:48 Pickup is great. It's got a nice thick body for the kids. I like the 15 ft cord--long enough to get away from directly in front of the television (kids love to sit sooo close!). I do wish it had an optional 2 mics or another jack for an add'l mic. Worked right out of the packaging--no problems whatsoever.

Tried pluggin it into the computer--it was recognized, but didn't work... I'll spend some time with it to see if it works, later...

Strengths: easy to hold, good feel, sensitive enough
Weaknesses: cord gets in the way, tangles easily, wireless version would be nice
Summary: Great microphone, works perfectly with the karaoke revolution games and people find it easier to use than the usb headset that comes with the game. most of the time I'd see people just holding the headset in their hand and singing into the microphone part, so thats when i realized no one cared to hear their voice in the headphone, so I picked up one of these. Might pick up a 2nd one so that I don't have to use the headset when singing duets. definitely recommended.
