I think the higher frequencies are somewhat attenuated, but it won't make a big difference unless you have a high end system (in which case, you probably have a real iPod connector anyway). The spinning mechanism is a bit noisy, so I have to turn soft music up louder to make it less noticeable. The wire is a little flimsy and sometimes gets caught when I pop the cassette out, but a tug on the wire pulls it out easily enough. 50% of People (1/2) found this review helpful. mikebomb from NY Member Since: Aug 2003 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 1 Month	Good sound but noisy mechanism Strengths: Very good sound reproduction Weaknesses: "Cassette" mechanism noisier than it should be Summary: Adapters like this need an interior mechanism that keeps the player from thinking the nonexistent tape is at the end, whereupon it will either stop or auto-reverse. This one's mechanism is actually louder than a real cassette tape would be and is quite audible when the music is not very loud.
