Strengths: Amazing easy install - plug and play
Weaknesses: none yet
Summary: I've been playing around with networks for some time and have the house set up with both wired and wireless connections. A few weeks ago I installed a media server and was trying to use on the wireless network but it kept losing the signal. I had to reboot the thing constantly so I decided to try one of these extension kits. WOW! - it was almost TOO easy - it truly was plug and play. I tried it on my other wireless devices and the speed blows the wireless away and eliminates all the inherent wireless problems such as security and fluctuating signals. I ordered a second set of these which, using my existing router, will give me 12 hard wired ports and I'll be using these throughout my home. The wireless will still be in place for visitors, but for my home, it's Good-Bye wireless. If you look around, you can find these for less than $80 a set.

Strengths: Ease of installation, unit size.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I work in the computer networking business. This item is the easiest network device that I have ever installed!!!! I took it out of the box, plugged it in as the Quick Install Guide indicated and BAM - it worked! I've been struggling to get wireless networking to the other end of my house for months! This solved the problem in 5 minutes.

If you live in an apartment building or are installing this somewhere that others can plug into an outlet, use the encryption to protect your data. I did not bother with the encryption because I'm in a private home.

I highly recommend this device for anyone - whether you are a computer novice or an expert.
