Strengths: Low price, USB connection
Weaknesses: poor capture quality
Summary: This product exemplifies the classic adage of "you get what you pay for." I installed the MGI videowave and capture device software to my 700 mhz Compaq Despro En with 9gb available drive space. Despite numerous attempts at transfering video footage, the thing kept dropping over 100% of the frames to produce terrible choppy video segments and still images with no sound. Don't waste your money on this one. No reply ever received from tech support.

Strengths: It can capture....just not what it appears to be.
Weaknesses: Quality and price.
Summary: Be warned of the wording displayed on this site. This frame grabber takes STILL images at 640x480 resolution. 15 fps at 352x288, and 30 fps at 176x144. DO NOT BE FOOLED into thinking it can capture live images because it lists 640x480 on the article. Just be warned.
