Strengths: Good sound quality. Good battery life. Easy to use menus even without the manual. Good sized handset.
Weaknesses: Low speakerphone volume.
Summary: I had been looking for a good quality 5.8GHz phone for some time to avoid interference with my wireless network at home. Based on online reviews and recommendations, I decided to go with one of the Panasonic KX-TG52xx models.

I haven't been disappointed. It has been a pleasure to use. Many modern cordless phones have gone to small-sized handsets. While this makes sense for cell phones where portability makes it a good tradeoff, I've never liked it for cordless phones. I much prefer a handset which is approximately the size of a traditional corded phone.

Overall, an excellent purchase. Especially if there is a rebate.

Strengths: Great price and design. Exellent sound quality.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I did an extensive research and selected this phone for it's options, value and name. I had a 2.4 GHz phone that was interfering with my wireless router, so I got this phone and it performs much better. This phone was a pleasure to set up. The menu is very easy. I have also purchased additional handsets and I was impressed how easy it was to copy the phonebook from one set to another.

Strengths: Very clear sound. Looks great! Great price! It seems that where ever I go in the house, I get a nice a clear sound. I've always had static with other phones. I think it's worth getting the 5.8 Ghz.
Weaknesses: None that I can think of.
Summary: This is probably one of the best phones I've ever had. The phone has a great look and I like that I can add more handsets if I need to. It is clear and easy to use. This phone is packed with features at a bargain price. I picked my phone up for $96. Subtrract the $20 Panasonic rebate and this is a great phone for $76. Best Buy is selling the same phone for $119 plus tax.

Strengths: Very good quality (I used uniden, AT&T 2.4 GHz and 5.8GHz ones) Intuitive navigation Voice enhancer works great! good battery life (so far)
Weaknesses: Low speaker phone, Phone is too big, not stylish ( I thought 2.4 GHz, thought bulky are more stylish) poor orangle backlight
Summary: Using for last 5 days, so far satisfied (thought feature set is not as good as uniden 8885 ones). Phone is not stylish and bulky but for home phone i think it should be big enought to hold in a hand.

One can cleary see the quality diff. between other brands & panasonic - very good quality material.

panasonic started using NiMH, which is better than NiCd they used in 2.4GHz phones.

Strengths: Clarity, Ease of Use, Price, Speaker Phone Option
Weaknesses: Battery Life off the charger it only lasts 1 day
Summary: 2005-02-20 10:10:41 I purchased my phone from one of the vendors on the price grabber list. I can't complain about anything on the phone. It is the top of the line in my opinion. Take advantage of rebates that Panasonic puts out even if the store you purchase the phone from doesn't advertise any rebates. Remember to Price Match for the best deal near you.

Strengths: great phone, lots of features incl dig answering machine, expandable handsets, 5.8ghz, good clear sound
Weaknesses: expensive extra handsets
Summary: i've had this phone for a while and im extremely happy with it. the 5.8ghz phone doesnt interfere with my wireless router. having speakerphone on the handset is extremely handy while waiting on hold. the one thing i didnt like was the cost to add an extra handset. i found out you can link a kxtg5055 to this phone and use it as an extra handset. the kxtg5055 links perfectly and works great.

Strengths: Voice clarity is very good. Range is also good. Also the speakerphone works nice.
Weaknesses: Still to find one.
Summary: Initially I thought to buy Motorola codless phone but everyone around me suggested to go for Panasonic only. I am happy that I listened to them. Its really a good buy.

Strengths: Clear voice, no static, easy to use.
Weaknesses: Would really like to be able to have 5 or 6 handsets, but set is limited to 4.
Summary: Hands-down winner over 2.4Ghz systems. Got rid of my Siemens 2420! Also have VTech 5831 5.8Ghz system. Panasonic is much better. Very easy to use and easy to configure with a strong signal anywhere in the house. I live in a two-story 2,500 sq ft house with the base in our upstairs bedroom. Anywhere in the house and garage works great. Have not tried to see how far I can go outside yet. But my Siemens used to start dropping out before I even made it to the garage!

Strengths: Excellent battery life. Crystal clear. Very easy to operate. Ability to buy up to 4 extra handsets.
Weaknesses: None at all.
Summary: I believe this is the best cordless phone I have ever purchased. And probably at the best price I ever paid. There is absolutely nothing that I have found that I don't like about it.

Strengths: Useful features. Battery Life and sound quality are very good. OK value with $20 Rebate.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Purchased this phone after doing lots of research. I have found the sound quality of the phone and answering machine to be very good. Reviewing messages from the handset and using the handset as a speakerphone are useful features. Phone menu is easy to navigate...This is a good choice for a 5.8GHz cordless and answerer and a decent value with the Panasonic $20 rebate.

Strengths: Good signal. Voice enhancer is significantly better than normal phone. Speaker-phone on the handset is very handy. All features much more intuitive to use than my old phone.
Weaknesses: No dailing pad or speaker-phone on the base.
Summary: I have only had this phone a few days, so I can't vouch for its longevity, but I have been very pleased with it so far. I have enjoyed being able to use the speaker-phone as I wander around the dorm that I live in. The signal reaches at least seventy yards. The hand-set is very comfortable. My old phone had many of these same features but I never really used them, because I would have to consult the manual each time because they were not particularly intuitive. This phone also replaced my old answering machine. I could never remember how to reset the time and date stamp on my old machine and I can't seem to find the manual. With this phone, I don't think I will need to look at the manual again because it is so clear how to use it. The "Voice Enhancer" feature is quite nice also. It does cause the battery to run out faster though.

It would be nice if there were a dialing pad and a speaker-phone on the base just in case the phone rings and I can't find the handset.

Strengths: easy to set up and use. Clear audio.
Weaknesses: LCD display hard to see in poor lighting.
Summary: A good Panasonic unit with good clarity and easy to use. This unit has good range with no interference. I like the light antenna when the phone rings. The only weakness I observed was the LCD display can't be easily seen in a dark room or at night. Its a great unit with 3 voice mailboxes.

Strengths: Sound quality, ease of operation ands set up
Weaknesses: Slight interference with my wireless alarm system when phone is close to the alarm console. Time/date lost with power outage. Phone IQ service is a waste of money.
Summary: Very high quality phone, good range. Sound is excellent. The answerer has plenty of room but annouonce quality is only fair. Expandibility is great for future needs of most households
