Strengths: Small Size, Portability
Weaknesses: No Volume Control
Summary: This is a great addition to my mp3 player. These little speakers pack quite a punch. I originally purchased a Phillips mp3 player/travel speaker in one unit that looked like these Sony speakers. Once again Sony blew the compation away. This will always be great to use to watch movies/listen to music on my Sony Viao Notebook. I wish there was a volume control knob/dial on this - but it is a small drawback!

1 Star Reviewsony srs-t33 travel speakers
Strengths: small, moderate weight and works with 2AAA OR without batteries. Strong volume.
Weaknesses: poor sound versus rca fsp100 folding speakers which use no batteries. cord clumsy to put away
Summary: Back to the returns dept. Poor sound--plenty loud with or without batteries but poor quality even on audio books. Really good feature is size and ability to run on or off batteries.

Strengths: Great portability, surprisingly good bass, cool-looking and functional design
Weaknesses: weak midrange sound, flimsy stand could be easily broken
Summary: I bought these for business traveling with my PowerBook and iPod, and I must say I am very impressed. The bass is a bit overpowering compared to the high-end on these speakers, but I've found by turning off the eq settings on my iPod, it balances out the sound just fine (though the midrange could be just a little stronger). In fact, Sony recommends that Mega-Bass be turned off when using these speakers with their portable audio products, so I guess they came to the same conclusion. For the price, these are by far the best portable speakers I've found. They don't have the power of some more expensive alternatives out there, but the sound quality seems to be just as good. One fun feature is that I can clip the iPod to my waist and have the speakers in my pocket, blaring music while I walk around, hands-free. Just be sure to keep the built-in stand closed if the speakers are anywhere where they could be bumped. The stand is a little flimsy and looks like it could be easily snapped off.

Strengths: Great Product. I really like the compact size and the smart styling. In addition to the styling, I really like the fact that the design is smart.
Weaknesses: So far it looks to be exactly what I expected.
Summary: I really appreciate the fact that no loose cables will need to be wrapped around the device during storage. Instead the smart design has the cable mounted in the case and the door for the storage of the connector is actually the stand. What a great product!!!

3 Star Reviewsmall size, bigger sound
Strengths: nicely stowable cord, much more depth of sound than Vaio speakers, easy to cram in bag, built-in stand (sorta)
Weaknesses: gotta feed them batteries (AAA), cord is mighty short, not quite as loud as I'd hoped, wish it had AC/USB? power port
Summary: Although the speaker set seemed kinda pricey, I stuck with the Sony branding to go along with my Vaio. I would have preferred Charcoal coloring to match the carbon fiber notebook, but, silver is OK. They are not quite as loud as I might have expected, but the sound quality is far better than the built-ins even on a high-end notebook. The audio input cord is VERY short at barely 10". The "stand" is a little plastic door that also helps to contain/protect the audio jack, but, it doesn't allow for any adjustment of height/angle. I think that for the price, this product should have had AT LEAST a jack for a power adapter of same nature, (much less an adapter also).

I guess I would likely buy again, but, I think I would like to have been able to compare to other similar products before spending this much.
