Strengths: It is easy to hear and to be heard using this phone. The speaker phone is also loud and clear. The address book is easy to access and use.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: This phone is very small and is easy to carry around and use with a headset. Its tiny size makes it less convenient to hold to your ear for lengthy periods of talk. It handles more like a cell phone than a household phone. It is also slightly more difficult to program and to access the features than other phones I've used. Volume control, speaker phone and phone book are easily accessed. Overall I found the phone a bit more difficult to use than other phones. However, because of the clear sound both with and without the speaker, it's worth the effort.

Strengths: affordable, compact, lots of features, headset included
Weaknesses: small buttons, non-standard batteries
Summary: 2004-09-02 04:55:44 Bought to replace a 2-yr old AT&T set (#2440). More compact with comparable features and better clarity for about 1/4 the original price.
Comes with included headset. Not the most comfortable, but is clear and more secure than earbud style. Lots of features: speakerphone in handsets and base with additional base keypad, can copy phonebook to other handset, much more.
Negatives that I've found so far: mute button not directly accessible (must hit menu button, then mute), display does not indicate when line is in use elsewhere (only when other handset/base is in use), would like if it used standard batteries.
2.4GHz is clear with good range. Don't have a wireless network (yet), so don't know if there would be interference.

Strengths: Excellent features. Base Keypad. Good Reception. Great Price. Intercom and speaker in each handset and base.
Weaknesses: Battery Recharge Connectors flimsy - prone to wear out.
Summary: This is my second set of Uniden Expansion Telephones. The first one was great - but did not have a intercom between phones and the heads for the recharger wore out after only a couple of years - to the point where it was extremely difficult to recharge. The new phones seem to have corrected the earlier flaws. There is now an intercom between handsets. The recharge connectors are recessed for a gaurranteed link. The newer version is now able to expand to four handsets vs. the maximum of two on the older units. The models are also sleeker. Best of all, there has been a huge pricedrop for these phones. Probably because these phones are 2.4gh vs. the newer 5.8gh phones. 2.4gh is plenty and at $70.00 cannot be beat.

Strengths: Clarity; easy to use; features; style.
Weaknesses: You have to clear the caller id data from each handset seperately.
Summary: This is a great phone system. After reading numerous reviews I purchased this unit along with 2 additional handsets to replace the cordless phones I had without caller id.
The handsets are compact, like a cell phone, and easy to slip in your pocket when working outside. The phonebook is great. Once you enter your names and numbers into one handset, you can simply send the phonebook to the others.
I have been very impressed with the clarity over the previous 900Mhz cordless I had. I use Vonage VoIP for my phone service through a wireless router and have had no problems making or receiving calls.
Another great feature is the ability to setup the handsets to operate as two-way radios that operate independently of the base unit. I don't know what the range is, as there is no information in the manual, but still a great added feature.
One of the most handy features is the ability to transfer a call to another handset. My wife can page me on the handset in the garage and let me know she is sending a call without ever leaving the house.
There is also a room monitoring feature, much like a baby monitor which could be handy if you have small children.
As I have only had this phone for a couple of weeks, I can't speak of its durability, but I highly recommend these phones.

Strengths: Excellent features, GREAT speakerphone, Easy to use, Good range
Weaknesses: Size makes it relatively easy to misplace, frequency interrupted by microwaves and can interfere with 802.11g wireless network functions.
Summary: This is the best phone system that I have ever used. I purchased this unit to expand the system that I have owned for over 18 months.
It's features are great and easy to use/understand. It's speakerphone is excellent in both clarity and sensitivity (meaning that I can be a room away from the phone and barely have to raise my voice to continue the conversation). It is also capable of functioning at distances of at least 500 ft.
The weaknesses are trivial at best. The size of the phone has made it easier to misplace, but the 'find handset' feature makes it easy to locate. If the base is placed near a microwave, operating the microwave will cause interference with the phone's signal so it is suggested to store the base away from a microwave. Also, 2.4GHz is the same frequency as 802.11g networks. Although I have not noticed any significant decrease in my networks performance, it is possible for intereference to occur so it is suggested to store the base away from network routers.

Strengths: Very claer sound, Good range, handset speaker phone, extra handset with charger, Phonebook.
Weaknesses: small buttons.
Summary: I bought a refurbished set at a very good deal on net. I love this phone. The sound quality is very good. The address book sync with all sets is very useful. The hand is very small. sizewise it is very good but otherway it is not good to hold at ear and talk. The battery life is very good.I liked the keys lit in the dark.It is interfering with my 2.4ghz wireless router. Overall it is good phone. We are using this daily.I used uniden phones before this unit which is great. I always trust uniden phones. Rich features and good product life with great quality.

Strengths: Tons of features. I bought a refurbished unit. Still works fine. The handset speaker phone is awesome.
Weaknesses: Buttons are a little small. Will get used to it. At least it is bigger than the cell buttons
Summary: In some of the reports I saw that you cannot talk as you pick it up from the cradle. That is not true. There is menu setup that will allow you to do it. I read several reports before I bought this phone. True to all reports this is a good phone
