Strengths: Ordering of this product was stress-free. I received all of what I expected in this purchase and boot. The boot is well made, light weight, long lasting with a very good thread for traction.
Weaknesses: Price increases: The price had gone up from the beginning of the year '08 (was $85.00). I made my purchase on 3/09/08 at $90.00 and now the price comparisons start at $92.00.
Summary: Overall this boot is a quality product to which I will get my money's worth. I am a long time buyer since 1981 of this Timberland 6" Basic boot in Wheat color. It is a durable work boot, I have hiked in it, got through many Winter seasons and have ridden horse back with this boot. It is also a very breathable boot, not hot for the Summer season.The rugged bottom thread works well on all indoor and outdoor surfaces. The 6 inch height goes well above my ankle for a proper fit under jeans and work pants. Average life expectancy for my boots are 4 years. Since 1981, I have not found a better boot for my needs and investment.
I knew my size, therefore ordering on-line went well. I ordered through Moe's Sneaker Spot, the tracking information was provided to me from beginning to end. My order was processed on a Sunday and delivered by Friday, 5 days transit between NY and NM.
