Summary: This is my 5th DeWalt hammerdrill I have owned in the last 10 years. They have evolved over time into what you buy now. I am hard on my tools and this one is no exception. I have drilled through 12" of concrete and the drill gets smoking hot but keeps on going at the next job. Some are concerned that I replace every 2 years on average and say I should buy corded versions. I then pull out the corded ones with broken chucks and burned out motors that lasted just as long.
