woefully inadaquet
Strengths: smaller then a CRT, nice tool pallet holder.
Weaknesses: poor color, contrast, expensive for the quality.
Summary: this was my first move from a CRT to an LDC. I really liked the new space on my desk and although the color acuracy wasn't up to my pro CRT I was thinking it was close. Then I bought the NEC LCD 2690 WUXi and was amazed at the quality difference. The NEC hands down makes the LaCie look bad. I have them side by side on my desk and I now use the Lacie as a tool pallet holder.I would not recommend LaCie for LCD displays to a professional. I used their CRTs for years and still have my interns cranking out archive material on them. But I also liked the Mitsubishi Diamond Pro CRTs (NEC took them over)and used them for years as well and I feel for the professional NEC made a much higher quality transition to LCD then LaCie did.
