Strengths: Price, picture quality, features
Weaknesses: None for me, but no TV tuner built in
Summary: I decided it was time to join the 21st Century and retire my 22 year old Toshiba 20" CRT to the guest room. This was a big purchase for me, so I spent a lot of time looking in stores and on the internet. I could not be happier with my choice- fabulous picture, decent sound and FABULOUS price. It honestly compars favorably with the picture quality of the Samsung's and Sony's I saw in the stores at half the price. When I ordered it from Tiger Direct I ordered an HDMI cable (for less than $20) at the same time. Set up was a breeze (didn't need the cable guy or help)- HDMI to HD Cable Box/DVR and I was off and running. You DO need a cable or satellite box for this to work, but for me that wasn't an issue. All together, just thrilled and highly recommend it!

Strengths: - Excellent price
- Very good picture (but not necessarily the very best - just the best for the price). I don't have any complaints about the picture but there is better.
- Reliable and good brand
Weaknesses: - Does not have an HD tuner - but this is not a problem. The only problem is if you are wanting to get HDTV using an antenna. Otherwise there is no reason to not get this TV.
Summary: This is an excellent TV for the price. If you are looking for a low price/high quality HDTV, this is the one for you. The only reason the TV is a lower price is because it does not have an HDTV tuner - but almost no one actually needs the HD tuner. If you are using cable or satelite then the tuner is just a waste of your money. Why spend money for something you are not going to use? This is basically the same TV as the Toshiba 32HL66 but is $150 cheaper (a couple minor differences - the picture looked the same to me at Best Buy).
These TVs without HD tuners are not being made anymore - buy one while you can (if you still can). The HD tuner is just a waste of money unless you want to get HDTV with an antenna.

Strengths: clarity of picture, ease of use, lightness of unit, clean looks
Weaknesses: wish manual told me how to remove the base to wall mount and wish it had more s-video plug-ins
Summary: I have purchased toshiba in the past, so i figured to go ahead and rely on my past experiences with them. I couldn't be more satisfied. Go ahead and compare what features come with a toshiba over a sony or any other brand you might be thinking about, i'm sure you'll find that dollar for dollar toshiba has it all. In the past five years i have purchased 3 toshiba televisions. 1-bedroom, 1-living room(this model) and 1-family room, currently all three are still operational and have had 1 issue with the cable coaxial making a noise ( purchased extended warranty on them all and had store come to my house to fix free of charge) i would strongly recommend looking at the toshiba line before making a purchase and if you do go to a store to purchase do not let the salesperson sell you their personal preference. ( i know i just bought it yesterday but i will be sure to post any issues that might happen to occur)

Strengths: Everything the monitor has all the connections you could need. Bought this mostly for playing video games in my game room. A great compliment to this display is a sanus pffp lcd stand.
Weaknesses: Only thing it's missing is tv tuner. but new that before purchasing.
Summary: I'm a loyal consumer of Toshiba products. This is my 3rd tv and have yet to have a problem with them. I also have a Toshiba dvd player and 2 laptops. And so far they have been flawless. Also it's hard to beat the prices on such quality products. And for me I know what I'm paying for with the Toshiba name. Well hope this helps all you consumers looking to buy a great tv. Good Luck.

Strengths: AMAZING picture quality for the price.
Weaknesses: Takes a couple minutes to "warm up"; in that time, the picture is not as sharp.
Summary: This television has really amazing picture quality for the price. I haven't seen any other tv sets of this quality for so little. I am very pleased with my purchase. I thought I was going to have to put down over a thousand dollars to get a set like this one, but I found it on sale for only $590. What a bargain!
A couple downsides: when you first turn the tv on, the picture is not as sharp. While the set is warming up (which takes about five minutes), you can see slight "shadows" when very fast movements take place against a light background. This effect goes away once the set is warmed up.
Also, there is no port on this tv to plug in a coaxial cable. I read several reviews telling me this before I bought the tv, but I didn't fully understand what that meant. Here's what it means: you must buy separately either (1) an HDMI cable, (2) an S-video plug-in, or (3) red/white/yellow RCA plugs, all of which cost a couple bucks. All things considered, this is a minor inconvenience, but it means one more step to setting up your tv. It was particularly annoying in my case because my local radio shack didn't carry any RCA plugs (which seemed odd), and I had to order them online.
Bottom line: if you want a good, fairly large HDTV that won't put a hole in your wallet, this tv is for you.

Strengths: Great Picture clarity after it is hooked up to a cable converter
Weaknesses: Must have cable converter or satellite receiver, cannot use cable coax plug in
Summary: This haz great picture quality and nice features. The clarity of sight and sound make watching movies on this a joy. I could not get the remote to reecognize the Motorola cable/TVR box in order to eliminate one of the remotes, however the cable remoted did recognize the TV. One downside was that the salesman at Best Buy stated that I did not need the cable box and the coax would go right in to the TV. You need the HPMI cable from the box to the TV.

Strengths: Price, picture quality, features
Weaknesses: No Tuner but perfect for anyone using a HD receiver
Summary: This is the second Toshiba LCD I bought this year as I was impressed with the first. This thing has more hook ups than any TV with in several hundred dollars. Even the built in speakers are pretty good for a small room. I use the TV mainly for gaming and watching movies in my bedroom which it does very well.

Strengths: Picture brightness.
Screen Display Modes - several formats to to choose from
VGA-RGB computer connection
Weaknesses: Contrast Spec is low, but difficult to see the difference. The high brightness makes up for it.
A DVI connection would be nice
Summary: I purchased a comparably priced Westinghouse from Best Buy, but the colors just didn't pop, the actual viewing angle was narrow, and I couldn't get rid of a grey, dullness to the screen. Stay away from the cheap Chinese and Store brands. Sony makes the best LCD with the Bravia and XBR line, but you pay the price.
I got Best Buy to match a sale price at Fry's and went with 18 months no interest financing along with a 4 year warranty that only cost $99. Don't think I can give a price here, but it was lower than the TigerDirect price. This is an excellent monitor for the money. I'm running Comp cables now so I would imagine the picture will only look better when I connect with HDMI.
