Strengths: Inexpensive, high quality brand modem
Good Connection Speeds
Good Documentation
Weaknesses: Lacks voice capabilities, only supports Type 2 (CallWaiting) caller id. This modem does not support Type 1(regular caller id).
Summary: 2005-09-22 10:41:45 I am mainly using this modem for it's callerid function. US Robotics makes great modems and although this one is their cheapest model, it has a lot of functionality for such an inexpensive modem. Note that this modem can only be used for callwaiting caller id, and not for regular caller id.

Strengths: easy to install
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I am a data technician for a large telecommunications company. US Robotics is our modem of choice for our clients who need "out of band" access to critical network equipment. Although broadband has taken over the internet access market thus antiquating the modem, there are several reasons for having a modem installed. Along with out of band access, fax sending/recieving capabilities are also a desirable feature of having a modem installed. This product will do it all.

Strengths: Great modem for my dial-up computer. Very simple install and works great.
Weaknesses: None as of now
Summary: Been having troble with my home dialup and hoped a new modem would do the job and it did. Very easy to install and internet came right up on ffirst try. Thanks US Robotics.

Strengths: Inexpensive, easy install, reliable, comes with fax software.
Weaknesses: No regular caller-ID, software based win-modem
Summary: A very reliable basic fax modem that is easy to install and use. I have had no problems with establishing fax or internet connections so far with this modem. Another stable US Robotics product that is definitely worth the small amount of money it costs, and absolutely a better product than any of the cheap no-brand winmodems that flood the market these days.

Strengths: Nice Modem with a pretty reasonable price. Good brand name and works well with my computer
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: This is a nice fax modem. Good price with a good brand quanlity product. Easy to install and use. The connection speed is not bad since it is just dial-up for its low price. Coming up with fax software which you can use to send fax from your computer without using a fax machine.
Good quanlity modem!

Strengths: Very stable connections, bundled software
Weaknesses: Doesn't support regular caller ID, no voice capabilities (it doesn't claim it does, though)
Summary: First of all, this is a brand name modem and it certainly lives up to it. Very easy driver/sftware installation. Thus far it hasn't connected at speeds beyond 33.6 kbps, but that has more to do with my ISP than with the modem. I say this because the connection is always up (doesn't drop nor slows down like with other modems I have tried in the past.) One time I used it for 7 hours, uninterruptedly, and the dial-up connection never dropped. An "Instant Update" utility is provided that looks for software/firmware updates automatically. It also installs another utility that lets you know when you get a voice call while you are online. All in all, a good product!

Strengths: Cheap, reliable, built-in speaker
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Very good and inexpensive modem. Fast and reliable for internet connections and great to send and receive faxes.
I like the built-in in speaker and it comes with a phone cord.
Easy to install and it's recognized by the Win XP without problems.
I'd recommend.

Summary: i have used us robotics in the past and they have proven to be very reliable modems. the us robotics modem is outstanding quality and has never failed me in the past. if you are looking for quality in a modem, look no further than the us robotics modem. thanks for choosing us robotics!

Strengths: Very Reliable - Great Software.
Weaknesses: None!
Summary: Even though I use a Cable Broadband Connection for Internet purposes, I had recently started sending out and receiving a lot of faxes. So, instead of buying a new bulky fax machine, I decided to get a chaper and smaller option - a faxmodem! I can't even remember the last time I used to have a modem, since I had thrown the last one out many years ago.
It turned out to be a great decision - this PCI modem installed without any issues, and I was able to start sending out faxes as soon as I installed the software!

Strengths: low cost, good name brand w/support, good documentation & software
Weaknesses: no voice capability
Summary: This is a good basic modem without caller ID or voice capabilities. It installs easily and maintains solid connections. It does not support regular caller ID functions but it does support call waiting caller ID.
