Strengths: Good Video
Weaknesses: Hardware switching slow and doesn't always work Software switching didn't work on Windows XP Poor tech support Mouse and Keyboard takes over 5 sec to come back after switch
Summary: Not very impressed to say the least. Hardware switch on top of unit doesn't always work. Software switching is very slow and doesn't work on my XP machine. After a switch to the other PC, it takes over 5 seconds for the mouse and keyboard to return. If you don't mind waiting and don't switch between PC a lot, this product might be ok.

Called tech support to see it these problems were normal or expected operation. Tech support told me that some kvm swithes don't work well with a certain combination of systems. Other than that, I pretty much got the silent treatment. At least the tech support was free like the outside of the package states.

Highly unrecommended!

Strengths: Has cables included. Software is simple and it works but there is a manual selector also. Fairly inexpensive as long as you buy online (Buy.com or others) and not in town.
Weaknesses: Cables go out from both ends. Would have perferred the cables coming out just the back so the front could be just under the front of the monitor so you wouldn't see all the cables.
Summary: Very satisfied! Wanted to switch between my home computer and work notebook but afraid it wouldn't work with my new Microsoft Wireless Natural Keyboard and Wireless Intellimouse 2.0 set. I plugged the transmitter's USB connector into the KVM's USB Keyboard side and it works (Made sure that the drivers were loaded on both PC's first). The software installs a icon on the menu bar, just click on it and it switches to the other computer. Since the software switch program works, I think I will hide under the desk and the weakness I mentioned is even less important. Didn't need the audio and microphone switching, but Belkin also has a similiar product with them, so this is a very economical solution that really works!

Strengths: Supports high-res displays without any problem
Weaknesses: unreliable, takes forever to switch
Summary: This product is very unreliable. With one system the manual switch only works sporadically. When it switches then after some short (~30sec) random time it would automatically switch back to the other system. On two different computers it wouldn't switch automatically but the manual switch still did not work very reliable. The worst thing with this KVM is the long switching time, though. It takes about 10 seconds until the display switches and then another 3-4 seconds until the mouse and keyboard becomes active. This makes this KVM absolutely usless as I do switch between computers frequently. Finally, the software does not seem to support hotkeys to switch. Instead you have to put your hand on the mouse, go down to the KVM icon and click on it. This is not really a major issues but just adds to the bad experience with this KVM.

Strengths: simple, switches easily, consistent, fast, reliable
Weaknesses: only PS2
Summary: I have been using this product for over a year now and have it switching between Win2K and Linux servers. Haven't had one minute's problem with this product unless I have done something STUPID with my hardware.
