Strengths: Sharp exterior, lightweight, easy to use. Not too many problems. And the price, of course!
Weaknesses: Battery life. Warms up fairly quickly. Noisy when it's running on battery power. Only 512mb RAM... Screen is shiny and has a glare when you're using it in the sunlight.
Summary: Great laptop, especially for the price. It only comes with 512mb RAM, but it's easily upgradeable. I got it brand spanking new at the local Fry's for a little over $700 with the purpose of using it primarily for school and other basic tasks... and it was worth the investment.
I was going to buy a smaller laptop, but since I have to make very involved and big charts for some of my classes, I decided that the bigger screen fit my needs better... and I'm happy I made that choice. Even with the bigger screen, the laptop looks really sharp in comparison to other similarly-sized laptops. The dark gray, charcoal, and black fiberglass-looking exterior makes it look kind of sexy. ;)
I haven't run into any major problems with the laptop. I wish maybe half (or less) of the proprietary software didn't come along with the laptop... and I'm not a big fan of Windows XP Home edition... but it works for me. I only use this laptop for school... I stick to a home-built desktop for my gaming needs (which I don't have any time for anymore).
This laptop has gone beyond my expectations, especially since it cost me only a little over $700. I absolutely love it. It's too bad I can't find anything similar to it anywhere else these days, though... many of my friends looking for a laptop have been looking for the exact same one, but haven't exactly been successful in finding one.
