Strengths: Has ionization sensor to detect fast-flaming fires and photoelectric sensor to detect smoke from smoldering fires.
Weaknesses: Can't use it in any room with a TV, stero, etc. with a remote as one of the "features", which allows you to use a common remote to quiet low battery or problem alarm will be activated.
Summary: I bought this First alert combination smoke alarm and fire alarm through ace hardware outlet. It was very easy to install and set up was a piece of cake. I would definitely recommend this product.

Strengths: Loud alarm, easy install
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Works great and I like that you can shut it off with the remote from the tv. It was easy to install, And the battery was easy to install also.
