Strengths: fast duo core cpu, 1.5g ddr2 memory, large 120g harddrive, good connectivity, windows mce
Weaknesses: sound and short battery life.
Summary: a really decent machine with loaded options: in addition to those listed in the strangths, it has card reader, dvd writer, firewire interface. the TrueBrite screen looks very nice too. so far liked it except for relatively short battery life.

Strengths: Quiet, FAST Processor, Lightweight
Weaknesses: short battery life, too much bloatware
Summary: I have always been a desktop person, but I recently gave in and joined the laptop world. I did a lot of research before buying, and I must say that I am happy with my purchase. I have not found one bad thing about this laptop, other than the battery life is short. It's not bad, it will run 3 hours on it's own without being plugged in. That may be par for the course, I am not sure.
Otherwise, I am very happy with my purchase and can't find anything else that I don't like about it.

Strengths: Reasonable price (1099.00 +VA tax); Reasonable weight ( 6 lbs +); fast speed; nice screen, acceptable sound.
Weaknesses: Installed software is "barebones" ... aside from Windows Media Center, it has only "trial" editions. The pesky pop-up reminders to buy the full versions are a real pain!
Summary: 2006-11-10 15:06:01 I scoured the web pages and used a number of search engines to find what I hoped would be a "value" notebook. Price seemed right, features seemed great, and the review I read was 5-star! Works great ... fast for a laptop ... the video is excellent ... and the built-in speakers produce better-than-expected volume and sound quality. To avoid frustration/disappointment (my initial and premature reaction), I suggest reading the owner's manual carefully, especially noting the location of all controls. This is a great laptop for the price, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Strengths: This laptop is great! I've had others in the past but this one is far better than any others I've had. It has a huge hard drive and great editing tools for your movies and photos.
Weaknesses: Nothing yet.
Summary: There are so many great features for this laptop, I can't really get into that many as I would like to but it does have something for everyone. Buy it!

Strengths: fast processor, Windows MCE, good size screen, big HD
Weaknesses: non so far
Summary: Searched for many laptops with similar micro processor. This laptop was the perfect combination of features. I especially like the ConfigFree software that Toshiba includes. This software allows you to easily find wireless networks and diagnose your connection issues (wired or wireless). The screen is crisp and no dead pixels. Toshiba quality shows in this well built machine.

Strengths: Ultra Fast, Great Connectivity, Massive amount of ram.
Weaknesses: 1 in 1 out audio leaves something to be desired. Case is somewhat flexible, but has held up quite well.
Summary: I don't know what that guy was saying about the sound, I think its great for a laptop. Better speakers = more weight.
Everything works great, but windows MCE is not an improvement in my mind. I would prefer XPpro. Other than that everything is as advertised and then some.

Summary: bought it at a reasonable price and really liked it so far. There are so many nice features including card reader. It is cool-looking, too. The only complaint is that it runs hot at times.

Strengths: Light, cool, quiet, media
Weaknesses: Sound. Small mouse
Summary: This replaces my Compaq 2162us. It is lighter, quieter, cooler and I love media program. It is wider but this seems to be a good thing. The sound dial is on the front and I could not get it and the internal volume control to coordinate easily and it is not loud enough to hear from very far away. Software is scant, I had my own and had to purchase the full Office version and had it installed at time of purchase.
