Strengths: Light and more ergonomic, the Sonicare elite gets the job done.
Weaknesses: Nothing that I can think of.
Summary: The elite models are vastly superior to the previous ones. I would highly recommend them. I have recently purchased the elite 7800 model, and am completely satisfied. They are basically the same with a couple of added frills added to the latter model.

Strengths: Extremely powerful and durable!
Weaknesses: Expensive heads. Expect to pay between $12 and $18 per replacement head which need to be replaced every 6 - 8 months.
Summary: Ive had mine for about 2 1/2 years and call me weird but I brush while I shower. This brush in this time frame has been dropped numorous times and constantly soaked. Hasnt failed me yet and works just as good as when I first bought it. Recharge it once every other week and.

Strengths: Easy to use, long lasting.
Weaknesses: Need to disassemble the brushing unit to clean completely.
Summary: The toothbrush works great. I've used on for years and have always had good dental check ups. This unit was a replacement for one that was lost during a trip.

Strengths: Gets my teeth extremely clean, and in half the time as a regular toothbrush. My gum health has also greatly improved since purchase. Great battery life.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This toothbrush may be a bit pricey, but it is worth every penny! My dentist recommended it to me because my gums were always inflamed. She said I wasn't removing enough plaque, and recommended this toothbrush. I bought it, and couldn't believe how clean my teeth got in so little time. The 30-second timer helps me ensure that all sections of my teeth get adequate attention. Since I've used it, my gums have been much healthier & less inflamed. I bought one for my mom for xmas, and she loves it too!

Strengths: Size of brush head; ease of use
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: It cleans very well. I feel as if I just left the dentist. It's easy to set up and use. Size of the brush head is a perfect for my size teeth. It includes a cap for the head that allows you to cover the head but still air it out.

Strengths: Ergonomic brush head, travel case, 2-minute timer and of course, clean teeth!
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This is my very first ever Sonicare toothbrush. Previous to this, I used sub-$10 electric toothbrushes. What a difference! My teeth feel really really clean. You really do get what you paid for. The 2-minute timer is also great because it forces me to spend the dentist-recommended time brushing my teeth and easily know when it's up already. The travel case is also a great plus so I can bring this baby along with me and have clean teeth all the time.

Go ahead and buy one!

Strengths: cleans very well
Weaknesses: tickles. you have to get used to it
Summary: good toothbrush. it cleans very well, but it tickles so you have to get used to it. the lower setting seems to tickle even more so the 14 brush "build up period" it starts with didn't help at all so i disabled it

Strengths: Lightweight, compact (both toothbrush & charger base), smaller brush head, great cleaning action, good value.
Weaknesses: None that I am aware of.
Summary: My 1rst sonicare was purchased (8) years ago. I upgraded to this model (2) months ago and its fantastic! I recommend it to anyone especially those who have yet to make the switch to an electric toothbrush - the cleaning power is awesome. In addition, while the new brush heads are smaller they're also angled for better cleaning action -especially in those hard to reach places.

Strengths: Forces you to brush your teeth well, better than a regular toothbrush, convenient, well-designed
Weaknesses: Expensive, sometimes hard to keep clean.
Summary: If you haven't owned a Sonicare before, you'll wonder how you ever got along without one. Definitely better than a regular toothbrush. The only downsides are the additional cost and the need to keep it clean (you can't throw it out when it gets grungy), but the heads are replaceable and your teeth are worth it.

Strengths: Effectiveness, weight, carrying case
Weaknesses: Battery stops working after a couple of years and isn't replaceable. I wish the travel case were designed for two brush heads.
Summary: My biggest gripe about this toothbrush is that it doesn't have a replaceable battery, and the battery it comes with will no longer be able to charge after a couple of years. That being said, I'm buying my second one, because a hundred bucks every two years (for two people) is far cheaper than the cost of dental work. I've been using Sonicare brushes for over six years now, and the Elite line for just over two years. I'm not the only one who notices the difference. The dentist is pleased, as well. If they came out with a model with a replaceable battery and a travel case with room for two brush heads, I don't see any way they could do better.

Strengths: Cleans better than any device I have owned. Uses less toothpaste.
Weaknesses: It takes about a dozen times to get used to the "tickling" sensation that sometimes occurs. The replacement brushes are expensive. In our area they are about $13 each.
Summary: The best toothbrush I have ever owned. My teeth have never felt so clean and a bonus is it uses very little toothpaste. I drink a lot of coffee every day and I notice a lot less staining between dentist visits.

Strengths: High-Powered
Weaknesses: Slow to recharge
Summary: Sleek, powerful, and compact, this brush is a smart buy. Recommended by my dentist, it will no doubt reduce my overall dental costs and pain.

It does need to sit on the charger for about 12 hours every two weeks, but since most users will have it on their charger permanantly (I don't due to space concerns), this will not be an issue.

A tip: Be carefull not to have the brush out of your mouth while still on and vibrating. It is so powerful, that you'll need to clean your mirrors.
