2 Star ReviewNot good as an analog upgrade
Strengths: Slider provides single hand operation
Weaknesses: Reception
Summary: This comment comes from someone who was looking for the basics, but wanted to include a better camera. I got over my phone's default of always wanting to go on line and charge me extra to shop by just disconnecting the internet option. I'm having a very hard time getting over the poor reception. In this case there are fewer bars in fewer places! I have never had so many dropped calls. It fails to match the quality or reception of my old tech analog phone. It also does not match the the reception or quality of a considerably less expensive Samsung flip phone product that my wife has and was featured in buy one-get one free ads. I have had minimal reception or dropped calls throughout my house and in a condo on a recent trip. Testing 12 different locations in my home by a conversation with a land-line phone, this unit had less signal strength than the cheaper Samsung model. On the trip, my calls dropped so frequently that I used the other phone. I would not recommend it and I'm sorry that I got it!

3 Star ReviewNice phone but not good enough
Strengths: Big Screen, Slider Phone, MicroSD slot, Great Design, Perfect Size and Weight, good battery life
Weaknesses: Cannot upload games Via Bluetooth, Hard to get to #1,2,3 on the keypad, not loud enough, backlight doesn't turn off when charging, limited (very limited) support on sync with outlook calendar.
Summary: The thing that annoys me most is the outlook calendar support. Samsung's PC Studio sucks, it will NOT sync any outlook recurring meetings to the phone. The recurring appointments on PC Studio doesn't have the flexibility of outlook (like recurring everyday except Monday, etc) Also the subject field is limited to a few characters. I've also tried MobileMaster, demo version, and it doesn't even support calendar for this phone.

I'm not sure if this is Samsung or Cingular's problem but you CANNOT upload games to your phone Except via GPRS. you cannot upload any games using Bluetooth or data cable. Maybe Cingular is trying to get more $$ off bandwidth usage.

Another problem with this phone is that the backlight will NOT turn off while you're charging the phone. It increases the charge time and it's annoying if you're charging your phone in your bedroom.

Over all this is a nice phone with lots of features if you can live with the little bugs here and there.

Strengths: Great Design, Super Sleek, Light, Bright Screen, Good Battery Life, Bluetooth, Can Also Check E-Mail and Big Screen
Weaknesses: Attracted to fingerprints and dirt
Summary: I love the phone but the it attracts fingerprints and dirt which I hate a lot. But the phone is pretty sleek and light. It's a good choice to people who must check there e-mail. Worth buying.
